Eminem was just a kid living in a rough area of Detroit “8 mile” he moved from house to house on Welfare and had many broken homes. He was a shy kid, and he was in and out of tough schools and was bullied. He lived with his mom in a small trailer had a small job. He had a dream of escaping that life. Many people underestimated him because he was a white rapper. They would tell him you don't belong and you won't succeed.

He started competing in 1 on 1 rap battles underground. He had a street-smart talk and used that to find his voice. He knew what he had and he wanted to show the people that doubted him what he was capable of. Eminem knew what he had and used that against people. He was a fast thinker and used his clever rhythms and comebacks to win the “rap battle”. He used everything that people would say about him and turn it back on them. Eminem is now a well known American rapper that makes his own music. He is a good role model to some because of his backstory and the way he came up. He makes really good music and his music is also well known. He sold 80 million albums worldwide. https://www.ticketmaster.com/Eminem-tickets/artist/722998

Frida wasn't supposed to win in the art industry. That is because when she was seventeen she got hit by a bus and barely survived the accident. Do to that she got paralyzed. The only thing she wanted to do the most was to be an artist. Her parents and other people had thought she wasn’t going to be able to be an artist anymore. They were pretty sure that she was going to have to retire being an artist early.

What was her strategy that she used to win? Frida was a genius. She overcame that she wasn't able to stand and do art. That did not stop her from being successful. They had a whole set up so she was able to draw whenever she wanted. She was able to win by making up her own idea and even promised a specific number of pieces of art before she died. If you think about it she had a growth mindset. After all of those things, she was able to succeed in being an artist.
 http://sharplilteeth.blogspot.com/2014/04/inspiration-5-unconventional-style-icons.html

The reason why Michael Oher was an underdog is that he had very hard time in school. He repeated the 1st and 2nd-grade multiple times. He would struggle with school work and reading. He would get D’s or lower. Besides having difficulties at school he also had difficulties at home. His parents were never really around for him. His dad got murdered and his mother would take drugs. He had to raise himself. And his family did not have a lot of money. From him going through these challenges people saw him not graduating from school or get accepted to a college. He was going to be a dropout. Also, that the was just going to be with his “friends” since he was alone and had no place to actually live since he lived in a broken down home. The neighborhood that he lived in was not a good one.

Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy have noticed Michael sleeping on the gym bleachers. Later at night they saw him walking and decided to welcome him into their home. Eventually, the Tuohy’s became his legal guardians. Tuohy’s helped him with his education. He got tutoring and he joined the football team. He started to do well in school and he was really great at football. He then began getting a lot of scholarships to many different colleges. He chose a college, “University of Mississippi” and he became an NFL football player.
https://www.biography.com/people/michael-oher-547478

Gandhi stood up against the British Empire in a pacifist way. He did not like the way Indians were being treated by the British. Gandhi was a pacifist and more or less avoided hand to hand conflict. All of his protests were peaceful and eventually, he was able to “defeat” the British Empire. His life was filled with many struggles and he was constantly put in jail for what he believed in and most of his protest were “hunger strikes” where he starved for an extended time. During Gandhi’s time, he gained many supporters and he was known as “Mahatma” to all of them. He launched a Passive campaign and turned it into a massive organization that boycotted many British manufacturers. Gandhi gave up, imprisoned many times, and he even quit politics before he made an impact. Gandhi was shot to death on January 30, 1948.
http://www.indianembassy.hu/?attachment_id=8298

3 childhood friends Alek Skarlatos (Former Oregon National Guardsman), Anthony Sadler(senior at California State University ), and Spencer Stone( former U.S. Air Force Airman) were on a train from France to Paris to the French capital on the Thalys train, when a man with assault rifle and pistol started shooting and wounding passengers. Out of all the survivors on the train, the 3 friends stepped up.

The 3 friends were supposed to be underdogs because It’s the 3 of them against a guy with an assault rifle and pistol, a bullet would be faster and take more damage. Despite Spencer getting several injuries including having a slashed neck and thumb you would think he would have given up and fell to the ground against the gunman but didn’t.

The 3 friends were able to win against the gunman because 2 of the 3 of them had military training. Which may have given them an advantage and if it wasn't for that many people would have died on the train that day. Alek Skarlatos, Anthony Sadler, and Spencer Stone won many awards and honors.

https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/jul/12/clint-eastwood-casts-real-life-paris-train-heroes-/
