The water is close to being in some apartments, but we are fortunately on the 3rd floor. Worse case scenario, we could lose our vehicles. It depends on how much more the bayou rises, which depends on the reservoirs upstream. We are very fortunate to be on this side because in our area, the north side of the bayou is all under water. My heart is breaking for my friends and co-workers who have been displaced. So far this morning I have spoken to Michelle Fonseca, Atenea Raptis, and Ignacio/Flor Alvarez.   

Michelle's family has lost everything as the flooding waters went all the way to the roof of her home.  Keep Michelle's family in your prayers as they are currently headed to Navasota with 14 other family members that also had to be evacuated.  

Atenea was fortunate that even though her family was evacuated, the water did not get into her house.  

Ignacio and Flor had about a foot of water enter the house and are in the process of planning their own clean up.   I offered to come and help Ignacio tear out carpets and sheetrock but it is not possible to get into his neighborhood today.   I am going to make an attempt to go out there tomorrow.  If you think you might be able to help.  Please post on this padlet so I can let him know.
