Before this course I genuinely never knew the extent of the impacts of agriculture on this planet. As in, I knew farming displaced natural environments but I was surprised at just how much damage agriculture has done

I learned a lot from others! The postings of other people in the course helped me open my eyes to new perspectives and ideas which initially I would have never looked twice at. (Like Julia’s gunpowder posting, that was so cool!)

I was really confused as to why humans are so reliant on 4 main food sources, and yet there are just so many others which taste better anyways. Do country leaders not see the problem with bad farming practices or are they just ignoring potential issues as if they can never occur. It is a bit strange that the world offers such varieties yet we pick the blandest four and mainly use them
