Because it is so famous throughout South Korea, this song is almost treated as the 2nd national anthem of South Korea. Meanwhile, the origin of the song's name is remained as a mystery.  Even though there are some theories about the word 'Arirang,' a words that doesn't exist in the Korean language. One other interesting fact about this song, Arirang is that there are different versions of it, based on where it was sang.          <description><![CDATA[<div>1)Ask them to give you the names of at least 3 folk songs they know from their country.</div><ul><li>Ganggangsullae (A circle dance)</li><li><h1>Arirang </h1></li><li>Onghaeya</li></ul><div><br>2) What emotions/thoughts do they feel/have when they hear this music?<br><br></div><div>It reminds childhood. Even though each songs have different feelings and vibes to it, it makes them feel happy.  <br><br>3)Ask them if they think young people (like you!) should learn any folk songs and why.<br><br></div><div>Yes, because listening to such music (traditional music, such as folk songs) help establish identities not only as someone from the culture, but it helps establish identities as a person. Also, learning folk songs can help learn more about the culture of one’s home country. </div><div>You can present the interview in written form, you can summarise their answers or you can video the interview and upload to your padlet page.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div>]]></description>
