Personally, something that I foresee as the biggest challenge for myself as I enter this field is the fact that it requires a lot of patience and understanding. I’m not saying that I’m a very impatient person, but there are times when I completely lose my patience, and this causes my stress levels to rise as a result. Dealing with different families that consist of individuals with distinctive personality traits and habits is not the easiest thing, and this is where I sometimes see a problem. Education barriers are something that is not commonly discussed but are quite apparent when it comes to this field. As an individual in this field, I do believe that it might be hard to deal with clients who do not understand English or any of the other languages that I am fluent in. There have also been instances where communication is only done between workers and parents instead of the client themselves. In addition, I believe that my patience level may be impacted since entering this field has its downside, which is mental health issues. Mental health issues can cause a lot of problems and make it challenging for individuals in this field to work effectively or even think straight. Working with children is not something easy and requires a lot of patience, as mentioned before, and this is where health concerns may arise. Since these young clients may be in poor health as they are suffering from malnourishment and even from health conditions that require serious treatment. Since I will be dealing with unhealthy clients within this field, this would require a high degree of patience and attention towards the client. In addition, I would have to make sure that the client feels healthy and, if they are unhealthy, then they are taken care of accordingly. Another challenge that is often overlooked is the fact that boundaries are often crossed when dealing with clients because things get quite personal. Since this field requires a lot of direct contact with clients and involves taking care of them, sometimes the line between privacy and professionalism may become tangled.

What I hope to achieve and accomplish during my journey into this field is, honestly, gaining experience, forming connections, interacting with various people, and building on my skills and expertise. Since this journey is quite beneficial for my spiritual health, it does come with many challenges, and this is where I want to ensure that I am achieving all my goals in the best way possible. I personally believe that when it comes to forming connections and getting used to a new environment, the best thing to do is make friends, and that is what I look forward to doing. I never want to treat my clients like strangers, and I will ensure that they feel comfortable and can deeply connect with me as individuals. This will also act as a learning experience for me because forming connections with different types of clients will give me insight into how various individuals function and perform.

Apart from this, I really want to focus on building my skills, experience, and expertise, as this is what will help me in the long run within this field. I also hope to achieve inner peace by helping others since this is something that I am naturally drawn towards. I personally believe that by helping others, we as individuals grow in a very positive manner. I also hope to accomplish a sense of responsibility because this journey is not easy and requires a lot of attention and time. It is very easy for individuals to give up a few months after entering such a field, but that is not my ultimate goal; I am aiming to make this my lifelong profession. In addition, I believe in creating experiences that last a lifetime and always stick with an individual. These experiences are the reason why people stay motivated in their field, and this is something that I live by. Personally, I am an individual who likes to take risks and go to great lengths in order to support and help others, and through this field, I will be able to do so in the best way possible.
