Community is an NBC produced hit sitcom, that utilizes various artistic elements to achieve success. DeWitt Parker’s theory of "Logic of Aesthetic Form" can be used to understand and critique the show. Community is a shining example of a properly executed modern sitcom.

The ongoing romantic link between Jeff and Britta is apparent throughout the show but comes in strides. This leaves audiences wanting more, the story is purposely drawn out for multiple seasons; the length the medium typically strives. Thus, the show creates smaller-scope stories, that are made to be rewatched. While, throughout telling the "big-picture" one.

Community's visual and audio elements are professionally captured and expressed. This is not a surprise, on the count of its NBC primetime budget. The show is shot with a single-camera traditional sitcom style. However, Dan Harmon, the creator, takes risks with certain episode specials that parody cinematic staples; such as westerns and Star Wars.
