We will miss you so, so much! But we are so, so glad you will now have time to enjoy your family, gardening, reading and whatever else you can dream up. Thank you for mentorship of me when I came to the high school. Thank you, also, for the exquisite care and attention you have give to our students over the years. It was a pleasure and honor to see you work your magic at establishing rapport with everyone and concretely supporting students on their assignments. Thank you for all your work over the years -- 20 years! I remember my early years at AHS working you in Math. Always present, helpful, seeing. I also remember your freshman daughter(name escapes me...) dancing at the lip sync in her butterfly outfit with one other friend!

Dear Tina,
I was so shocked when you first told us that you are going to retire. I always thought we would be working as a team together at AHS forever! Over the past 20 years, our friendship has continued to grow as we have witnessed all the changes in the special ed dept at AHS. From the time when there were only two of us as aides until now there are seven paras. You always knew what I wanted to say and helped me explain things better. Even though I am sad about you leaving AHS, I am also very happy for you. From now on you can really focus on yourself and the various hobbies you have. You will have more time to garden, draw, read....and to spend time with your family, especially your granddaughter. I will miss you immensely. We will keep in touch.

I've been away from the HS for awhile now, but had to take a moment to wish you all the BEST in your retirement! I enjoyed working with you over the years and especially recall stopping to chat for a bit with you and your student/s while they ate lunch in the courtyard. You were always engaged in some lively conversation with them. Seeing your sincere connection to students made my day! Have a great one and see you around town.

We started at AUSD together and have had many adventures in Sped! I wouldn't want to chase a runaway student around the Albany Library with anyone else :) I look forward to seeing you in the real world and being Grandmas together.

I am sad to say that we haven't had the chance to work together that much during my 2 years in AUSD. The only times were when I'd pop into classes to observe students! During those moments, your care for them, your calm and poise (even through numerous zoom difficulties) and your determination to help them succeed was always evident! Best of luck in your next chapter.
