         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Insulin</strong>- Is a hormone that is produced by the pancreas and that regulates the level of glucose in the blood.<br><strong>Glucose</strong>- A simple sugar that provides energy. Glucose is derived from food. <br><strong>Pancreas</strong>- An organ located in the abdomen. It converts the nutrition in food into fuel for the body's cells. It has two main functions: an exocrine function that helps in digestion and an endocrine function that regulates blood sugar.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Weight</strong>: Being overweight puts you at a higher risk of developing diabetes, especially if you are obese. <br><strong>Family History</strong>: The risk of developing diabetes increases if a parent or sibling has diabetes.<br><strong>Inactivity</strong>: Physical activity helps control your weight and uses up glucose as energy so being inactive makes your body more susceptible to diabetes.&nbsp; &nbsp;<br><strong>Blood Lipid Levels</strong>: An increased risk is associated with high levels of triglycerides.<br><strong>Diet</strong>: Too much sugar and meat in your diet will significantly increase your risk of developing diabetes. &nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Type <strong>1:</strong> The body does not make enough insulin (Insulin Dependent). Typically you are born with disease or develop it early on in life. There is no way to prevent type one diabetes from developing. <br>Type <strong>2:</strong> The body can not use insulin properly (Insulin Resistant). Develop later on in life due to poor diet and obesity. Type two diabetes can easily be prevented with proper diet and exercise. &nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Heart and blood vessel disease-<br></strong>Diabetes is associated with an increased risk of heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure and narrowing of blood vessels.<br><strong>Neuropathy -</strong> High blood sugar over time can damage or destroy nerves, resulting in tingling, numbness and the  eventual loss of feeling.<br><strong>Kidney disease -</strong>Diabetes may lead to chronic kidney disease, which may require dialysis or a kidney transplant.<br><strong>Eye damage-</strong> Diabetes increases the risk of serious eye diseases, such as cataracts and glaucoma. Which may  potentially lead to blindness.<br><strong>Hearing impairment-</strong> Hearing problems are more common in people with diabetes.<br><strong>Dementia -</strong>Type 2 diabetes seems to increase the risk of Alzheimer's disease and other disorders that cause dementia. </div>]]></description>
