         <description><![CDATA[<div>Scaffolding is a method of teaching that keeps the zone of proximal development in mind.&nbsp;<br>Scaffolding involves helping the child by building up supports to assist them in remembering information or accomplishing a goal, then slowly taking this "scaffolding," or assistance, down until the child can do the task without help.<br>It brings children from the state of needing help to the state of being able to accomplish something independently and help someone else go through the same process, and really, isn't that what learning is?</div>]]></description>
