Question: What does paragraph 3 reveal about Helen Keller? Why did she compare herself to a ship lost in the fog?

It reveals that Helen is miserable and sorrow. It shows that because a ship lost in fog, is just like a person that can't see. Like her, the boat can't see through the fog. Also because the ship is in the dark just like her, without light. Everything is dark and there is no noise, nothing but darkness and silence.
