She realized what she had done, she crashed the new doll her teacher had gave her, when she realised it she was sorrow, and thinking 'what have I done? why did I did that just now?'.

It reveals that she is a person that knows what is right and what is wrong. when she realized she had done something wrong, she would regret it. She would feel repentant.

It reveals that Helen is miserable and sorrow. It shows that because a ship lost in fog, is just like a person that can't see. Like her, the boat can't see through the fog. Also because the ship is in the dark just like her, without light.
