Computer Games Developer:

Main reason for interest- Growing up I've had a very large passion for Video games as well as concept art, therefore the idea of being part of a team in generating my own ideas and contributing towards video games excites me and thrives a passion.

Average Salary: Roughly start at around 25k per year, however more experienced and senior designers can range between 30k-50k per year.

location suitability: Game companies tend to be scattered around the world. However, within the UK, we have big companies such as SEGA, and EA within central London. Alternatively, other companies like Rockstar are based in Edinburgh- other smaller companies are also scattered around the country. Therefore, the location aspect of the job can be convenient depending on the game company you want to work for; wanting to work for another company can be a struggle as it may involve moving areas.

Qualification requirements: Most have a foundation degree or degree plus skills, experience and knowledge – or evidence of your talent.

Graphic Designer:

Main reason for interest- Digital art is a huge passion of mine, and therefore the opportunity to be able to have creative freedom and design art work for customers upon request is something that has a great appeal to me.

Average Salary: Starting salaries can be between £18,000 and £20,000 a year.

Experienced graphic designers can earn from £21,000 to £32,000 a year, with senior designers earning between £33,000 and £50,000.

Location Suitability: In comparison to computer game design, locations are a lot more flexible; there's many different companies in every local area, therefore you have an abundance to select from, and more than likely you wont be forced to travel beyond how far you would like to go.

Entry requirements: Most professional graphic designers have a foundation degree, HND or degree in graphic design or other art and design-based subject. You can search for courses on the UCAS website. Check with colleges and universities as entry requirements for courses vary. Alternatively, you can also search for an apprenticeship rather than going down the road of college and university; this can be a suitable option for some if they rather gets hands on experience and work their way up.

Website: http://www.cgsociety.org/

This website is widely used as a hub for art work promotion; from illustration work, 3D modelling etc, it allows a user to post their art work within the society- this can be beneficial for finding potential work and gaining popularity/ interest towards your work. I personally found this website through YouTube, therefore they've used the internet to their benefit by getting promotion to draw more attention towards their website; this enables the website to grow bigger with its users and with hold its popular usage around the world.

Instagram Account: https://www.instagram.com/deviantart/?hl=en

Also a very well known and used interface within the art community, much like cgscoiety, it uses a great deal of advertisement within social media. However, with their Instagram account they use hashtags to create a sub link towards their posts; this increases the amount of views they receive, and helps them gain more followers/ creating a bigger fan based community.

Seeing as my theme was based on 'memories of the past' the composition of this delicate appearing angle, almost suggests that it could appear to be a relic, something of significance; which relates to one of the perspectives i used throughout my project- sentimental value.

Second Piece:
I personally found this to be the more influential out of the two pieces.
FMP presentation:

This is my FMP Final piece for this year; using my theme of memories of the past, and using the moving of houses to my advantage; i feel that i have been successful in creating an illustration which represents the sentimental value of my origins. Furthermore, the use of the double exposure effect was perfect for the overall imagery i wanted to create; i believe photo manipulation was the best choice in technical process's to effectively illustrate this fading effect within my final piece for the unit. As to regards of the presentation within the gallery space, i simply intend to have the canvas hung on the wall as it would be if it was to be within a house hold, however have it slightly above eye level: this will enable to impact upon the viewer to be enhanced.
