1- Heightened senses allow people to experience more things in life. However, They can be overwhelming. For instance, People who have heightened hearing can hear people backbiting or gossiping about them which can hurt their feelings, or heightened sight can make people see the harsh realities in life alongside the hopeful sides.

2-augmented reality prevents people from understanding the true reality of the world and make them unaware of what’s happening which can be awful. Moreover, technology nowadays have made most teens unaware about studies and other important tasks. Just imagine the awful impacts of augmented reality in future generations.

I think having heightened senses would be a fascinating and interesting experience as you get the chance to experience every single fragment of reality, from smelling to seeing to hearing everything around you, making life engaging and entertaining, rather than lifeless and boring.
The presence of augmented reality and sensory modification will forever change our everyday lives as you no longer get to experience reality yourself, and basically get to experience the way you prefer, which can be beneficial depending on the environment you’re in, but also harmful as you’re experiencing a fake reality, so you won’t have the ability to experience the actual reality and enjoy life despite the hardships it contains which end up strengthening your character and shaping you perception of life.
