Takeaway:
Always treat your parents with respect and loyalty. Just like Uwais Al-Qarni, we should always care and provide for them, where possible. We should also never take them for granted and disrespect them. Our parents love us and provide for us everyday. When it comes to times where they can't, we have to repay and take care of them instead

What happened: Uwas Al-Qarni's mother was old, blind and paralysed. She relies on Uwais to manage their lives. When she needed help, Uwais would never complain and would put his mother first before doing something else. He was known as an obedient son to his mother. Uwais was a pious servant of Allah s.w.t who fasted during the hay and filled the night time with prayer to Allah s.w.t. The Prophet s.a.w told Sayyiduna 'Umar and 'Ali ibm Abi Thalib to ask Uwais to make du'a for them. They were astonished as they were the sahabah and he was a tabi'in. Nabi Muhammad s.a.w explained that Uwais has served his mother so well that whenever he raises his hands to ask Allah s.w.t, Allah s.w.t does not send those hands back empty. Hence when Uwais raises his hands for du'a, it will be answered.

Al-Ghazali was a student on a transport or something like that and then there was a robber. The robber was robbing the people. The robber took all the belongings of Al-Ghazali but Al-Ghazali requested the robber to give back his notes but the robber could take everything else. The robber felt great sorrow, pity and regret as the knowledge on the notes are on a pieces of paper instead of being in his heart. Paper can be destroyed or lost thats why we should remember the knowledge by heart.

summary: we learnt that even though prophet muhammad was cursed and had to go through difficulties, he remained calm and instead show kindness to the people who did him wrong.

takeaways from the lesson - we as muslims should choose to be the better person even when we feel angry. We should be patient and forgiving even when we are in difficult situations.
