I am Leila Ganguin Chaudhuri, I grew up in the suburbs of Paris and did a Bachelors in International Relations and International Development at the University of Sussex. I am excited to start this project to learn more about Surabaya and Indonesia more widely. On the one hand, there are very beautiful and colorful of these communities. But on the other hand, those that have not benefited from the help of the government or other entities are struggling with very serious sanitary and environmental conditions.
