The journey is a wordless picture book about a little girl who uses a red crayon to draw a boat and then uses it to go on a magical adventure. With the colorful images expressed in the book, I believe this would be a fun and exciting read for the students and can improve their storytelling.

El Deafo is an autobiography graphic novel accounting the author's childhood and personal experiences being deaf. The character, Cece, is self-conscious about her hearing aid and tries to adapt in a world surrounded by people who are unable to understand or relate to her. Throughout the story after navigating through difficult friendships and multiple hardships of trying to be understood, Cece eventually starts to see her disability as something unique. Adding this to my library, I think it's important for students to know that even with the differences we have that might set us apart from each other, we should always find ways to empathize with one another and know that it's okay to be different.

Mufaro's Beautiful Daughters is a Caldecott Medal award winning book where two daughters are put to a test of honesty. The prince disguises himself throughout the book and puts himself in hopeless situations asking for help but was constantly rejected by the one of the daughters, Manyara; However, Nyasha expressed nothing but kindness to the prince lending out a helpful hand which granted her to become the prince's bride. I wanted to include this book to my library to teach my students that kindness is more than what you say, but is more expressed through actions and how that kindness can grant you a greater reward in the end if you stay true to yourself.

I believe it's vital for the students to understand the importance of how love and friendship as well as trust can overcome certain hardships. Noticing how when confronted with the natural world it can sometimes show us our most vulnerable sides.

Bibliotherapy books allow children to grow and cope through their own experiences. The book I chose specifically to support bibliotherapy in my classroom is Wemberly Worried. After reading this in class, I couldn't help but appreciate the personality of the character knowing how validated a lot of children might feel after reading this story who are just like Wemberly. In a lot of instances, I wish I had the chance to read this book as a child. Too often we expect children to get over their emotions and to suck it up without realizing that not allowing them to express their feelings and worries can do more harm than good. Wemberly eventually finds a girl who is just like her and instantly feels validated knowing that she's not the only one who constantly worries. It's important for children to be heard and seen through these books so that they feel less alone especially if they aren't surrounded by others who are just like them.

Students will go through different exercises and unlock stories while also creating badges. Teachers are also able to track their progress and assign lessons. While I would mainly use this for my struggling students and ELL students, it would also be a good review for the class to improve their overall literacy skills.
