I would like to attend this event.

It is because I can spend more time helping out the librarians, reading more, instead of spending my times on video games.

I never went to a public library before, so I think that this is a time to go to a public library while helping out like recommending books.

Yes,I would like to volunteer for this position as I have a lot of free time during my weekend. I would also volunteer because I think this is a good opportunity for me  to practice my skills in English.In a nutshell, I would like to volunteer for this position.

Q1. Will you be interested in participating in the event? 

Yes, personally I would be interested to participate in this event! 

Firstly, the event is during the June Holidays and usually I do have some extra time during the holidays and I wouldn't mind taking some time out for this event! Secondly, seeing how it’s from 9am to 6pm too, it's a timing that I am okay with! I do also see an activity that I would love to participate in and that is Face Painting! I participated in a Face Painting event once and I enjoyed it! I didn't get to do the painting on someone though but I did get my face painted by a professional and I was happy enough! Actually i wouldn't mind any of the activities on the poster too  as i do enjoy them all but i don’t think i’ll participate in the Balloon Art as i do get scared of the loud balloon popping noises so i think i would rather play safe and not go for that but for the art and craft, sure i would go for it! I like doing art and craft too but since it’s something simple and something i can do myself I’m okay not attending it. 

At the same time seeing how the first 100 participants will get a goodie bag, 

I’ll take that chance! 

So in conclusion l, I would attend it as I like the activities provided and the dates and timing are good! 

A: It depends. There is no price fee located in the picture so I might have to pay and I'm a very cheap person so if it costs money I might not want to join. But let's say it's free, I might join as it's in the June holidays and I barely have anything to do in June holidays except for doing my homeworks that my teacher gives me. I also do know this one very close friend of mine who likes arts and crafts and she might be interested in the arts and crafts section so I can just drag her along with me as the picture said I could bring a friend. But I don't think I would enjoy the activities listed in the picture because they don't seem and sound interesting. In my opinion, I think they are quite childish for a 11 year old. Except for the Arts and Crafts. I would also like to join the event just for the goodie bag. Who knows? I might be able to receive a goodie bag! There is food shown in the picture for the goodie bag but I'm sure there's more than just food inside the goodie bag. In conclusion, I would need to visit the website listed at the bottom of the picture if I want to join because as I said, I need to see if I have to pay to join this event.

It is an opportunity to help out at the community library.As I rarely have a chance to as I am studying in primary five and a lot of homework.

O- If I have the chance to recommend it to children 7 to 12 year olds.

R- This is because I would have the opportunity to know the variety of books I read is enough to help children 7 to 12 year olds.

E-My chinese teacher always recommends books to me during library hours and I think the books my chinese teacher recommended to me are all  very interesting

O-In conclusion,i would like to recommend books to children 7 to 12 years ol .

My hobbies also include folding paper. I also like balloon arts. All the time, when I want a balloon, the clown will make it for me, and so I would want to learn it by myself. In a nutshell, I would go for this.

 

R – This is because this activity is held during the June holidays. During the June holidays, I will have a lot of free time, so I can make good use of my time and learn new things by participating in this activity. Secondly, this activity is also for children aged 7 to 12, that means that I am able to join. I can invite my friends to join me and I think that it would be a great opportunity for my friends and I to bond. There are also many activities that I am interested in that I can do. For example, I really like doing art and craft as I feel very proud when I make something by myself. I am also interested in face painting as I have gotten my face painted before. It was really fun and I would love to do it again! Balloon art is also an activity that I always wanted to try. I have seen people using balloons and making balloon animals out of it. I always wondered how they do that, so learning balloon art is also a great way to answer all the questions I have in mind.  The first 100 participants will get a goodie bag and I really want to get a goodie bag.

 

E – When taking part in these activities, I can learn many life values such as perseverance. If I struggle learning these activities, I cannot give up and have to persevere. I can also learn about caring for others. For example when my friends have problems during these activities, I can help them and care for them. I feel that by joining this activity, I can strengthen the friendship between my friend and I.

I would love to volunteer and help out at the Tulip Community Library.

It is an invaluable opportunity for me to reach out to the community and help others. I hardly have a chance to as I am currently studying in Primary five and I have a lot of homework and learning. 

I would relish the opportunity to read to children from 7 to 12 years old. 

 This is because I would have the opportunity to see if my ability to pronounce words, or if I am able to read clearly.

Secondly, I am able to see if children of my age are able to detect the emotions that I have put into the reading.

My teacher reads all the time in the classroom. I have no opportunity to practise. How does he expect me to be able to read well when I do not have the opportunity to read to others? It is obvious that I would not be confident nor read clearly when faced with an audience. 

 In a nutshell, I would love to read to an audience of children who are of the same age as me.

O- Yes, I would be interested in going to this exhibition.

R- Firstly, I am free from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on 18 April. Secondly, 18 April is on Saturday. Thirdly, I love learning about traditional costumes, games, dishes, and art and craft. Fourthly, the admission fee is cheap so I do not need to worry about it.

E- I have a memorable experience that I would like to share with you. I went to the National Library Board last year and saw an exhibition about how the world is mapped.The activities there were fun and entertaining . By the end of the day, I had so much fun that I could hardly wait for my next trip to the library.

O- In a nutshell, I would like to go to this exhibition.

R- It is fun to participate in programmes like this as I have participated in such many times and I think other people like it to. It has many things to participate in as and they are my favourite like face painting session and arts and crat session hench I would participate in this programme.

E- once I participated in a programme like this which was fun and brought back life to me. We enjoyed to the fullest that day. We had a lot of people around us it was filled with joy and had lots of fun which we did not regret.

Balloon Arts seem fun as i have some balloons at home and i can make animals but the only thing stopping me from doing this is that i do not like when the Balloon pops and i do not know how to tie it . In conclusion i think i will still try Balloon Arts as i could get my brother to help me tie the balloons .

yes I would like to  come and help out this young children as I can recommend books which are easy to read and have pictures to understand them.i would also  help the young children to borrow some books at the assist at borrowing stations.i could also read to young children  if they do not know how to read.i could also find out more about this if I search www.tulipcl.sg/volunteers.

I would love to participate in the Tulip Community Centre event and borrow recommended 

books for my learning. This would help in my learning and development, also it would be exciting for me to go through the books and have some fun while reading!

O—I think that I would find it boring to have to help out at the borrowing stations.

R—This is a task that even robots can do. I think my energy would be better spent designing a robot or programming an artificial intelligence that can predict when someone requires assistance and sends a robot out to help that person borrow materials from the library. 

E—I visit the school library and public library. I hardly see any librarians at the counter. I think that the borrowing systems are pretty intuitive, and it does not have proof that we borrowed the items in the library. 

O—All in all, I do not think that helping others to borrow books would be a good use of my time.
