Though the last year we did several activities to learn the importance of potentiating the voice to create a dramatic effect.
One of the activities we did was the reading of a poem, in which we learn to use our voice tone to empathize some of the more meaningful words or sentences of the poem.
The use of a voice tone because this can totally change the intentions of the text be it a poem, a literary work among others.
We also learn that you can use different techniques to potentiate the voice.
This can be saying the more meaningful parts with a higher or softer tone voice, two persons saying the parts to give more impression and depth to the text or as well repeating it can be useful to give a more dramatic twist to the text.

We pass a long time revising the play of midsummer night dream, and in different occasions there were vacations on this period, for this reason some times it was difficult to remember where we left for because of this we did a activity which consist on saying key words of every scene of the play obviously in chronological order, we had to include adjectives and the most important moments of the play, this help us all to remember what happen before and what happen next and also to solve our doubts if we had one, or ask about a specific part of the play if it was not clear.
In the other hand a other thing that I really enjoy of reading Midsummer Nigt´s Dream it was that we would stop frequently to talk about what was happening in the play and that it would be clear to all of us, as well as Adrian from time to time would make us repeat fragments correcting the pronunciation, tone of voice and verbal language.

This had to have various crachateristics, the first is that there were four characters in the scene, the second is that the scene will last 10-15 minutes, finally a scene where it could more reflect what we have learned in the IB course.
Another thing we did to determine the most convenient fragment was to select multiples and read them in a group, we also made a small summary so that we could remember the context and we put all this in a document, finally we made a vote in which we agreed that this scene was the best.

Reflection of montage

The assembly of our work has undoubtedly been a challenge, in the first instance I must say that the people who make up my team including myself are shy, which makes it difficult to assemble the work, in the same way we have had various problems involved with the assembly Since Fabi broke her foot, which prevented her from going to school and impaired our progress, after that we didn't have many opportunities to rehearse which also disrupted work.
In the second instance, the scene that we chose was that of the four lovers fighting and arguing over the sudden change of Dimitrius and Laysander, that makes the scene very fast and to be able to correctly demonstrate the sentiment of the characters to the situation it has to be very dynamics, because we have not learned the dialogues to perfection, this has been a constant problem throughout the montage since it does not allow the content of the characters with the aforementioned speed.
On the other hand, we have learned that the use of space is very important in the work, because the four characters are on stage most of the time, this means that there are many moments where their participation in the scene is not very present. An example of this is when Helana and Hermia are arguing, so we discovered that the reactions of characters such as Lysander and Dimitrius are very important so that the scene does not become boring, but I also think that this scene is very open to interpretation of each one and there are no direct addresses for the characters, which makes this work complicated. Returning to the issue of the use of space is also something with which we have had difficulties, however we have tried to expand our movements so that the use of space is greater and we can achieve a better job.
Another aspect of the montage that for me personally has been complicated is the pronunciation of some of the dialogues of my character, as I mentioned before, the scene has to be fast and dynamic if, as the sudden changes of mood in characters are prevalent, too The fights where you have to raise the vz and re-reflect the feeling of disgust at the problem is something important, all these factors have made me try to say my lines very quickly, which sometimes causes the one who gets me wrong, I skip words to say them incorrectly or remove the effect of the sentimentality that I would like to give it.
To be honest it is a work which I really enjoyed, and I have many ideas to be able to do and enrich it, however for me it is much easier to describe how I would like the actors to act, to justify their movements than to do it myself.
Finally, a last aspect that we must improve is to give the correct guideline to the other, that is, when I say my dialogues angry this will provoke a reaction in my partner and he will respond to me in a similar way, this will help us to promote as a team as well as what our work is not boring in front of the audience. Seeing what the other teams are doing to me personally helped me a lot during the last week, I must make a special mention to Arturo who when presenting his character used a lot the hands that went according to his dialogues, this not only made him interesting but He also made it clearer since they were not only words that came out of his mouth, there were also movements that made a lot of sense that sustained him, which is something that without doubt.

Reflection of Christina Rossetti

To begin, it is very important to know a little about the bibliography of Christina Rosseti, who was one of the most popular poets in Great Britain, knowing her bibliography was important to know the context of her poems and understand them more easily, which later facilitated the analysis of the poems. In the first instance, her themes include love, the concern for death, in the same way she came from a very religious family which is also reflected in her poems since she touches many religious themes. When reading the poems it is easy to realize that she is really critical, because the way she was educated she has some ideas progressive and other ones very consevative in the role of women.

Among the characteristics that are commonly reflected in her poems are the large rhyming patterns that we can see in her poems . Another important thing to understand the poems of Christina Rosseti is that she was influenced by the type of painters and style of "pre-raphael's" she wasn't in the “club” because she was a woman but she was inspired by them because of the modern art they were representing.

One of the things which I find interesting about Cristina is how she touches somewhat controversial and unspoken issues for the time such as the feminism through issues such as religion.

One of the songs we read about Cristinna Rossetti is "Island man" this focuses on the cultural identity of a man from the Caribbean who suddenly wakes up in London, what I liked the most about this poem is the contrast that she makes between the two Man's lives, that is, life on the Caribbean beach and life in the city of London, this also shows a cultural split that the character of the poem experienced. I really like how she uses literary techniques to represent this idea of contrast as she is imagining that makes the reader imagine what the character is feeling this she does through sensitiveness , sound, which later has an emotional consequence on the reader. Also the author uses techniques such as prosopopeya and alliteration such as putting the letter "s" in many places in the poem.
In conclusion Cristina Rossetto was a very interesting author and it is interesting to see how she implements different literary techniques in her poems and I would like to read more in the future.

Comparative reflection between where we find links between the two

Both authors seemed very good and interesting to read.
In the first instance, the similarity that I find between the two is the taste for talking about controversial issues as well as talking about feminist issues that were truly strange at that time, due to this we can see that they had an idea and a more advanced mind than those of the most of the people in his time.
In the same way, both authors use their context in the case of Cristina Rosetti the religion that her family included as well as the style that was provided by the modern art from which she was inspired thanks to her brother, on the other hand Grace Nichols is influenced by her descent and makes this noticeable when talking about the Caribbean in her poems since she is a native of there, in the same way she is influenced by landscape and its rural tasks and the history of slavement particularly with connection to women as mentioned before, this is easy to see in poems like "Island man".
Both of the authors use literary resources in their poems but particularly one is very notable in both and it is the imagination that makes the reader have a much closer connection with the poem and can imagine what is happening, in the same way many times. can help to make it easier to understand.
Another of their similar things is the connection between cultures that they make.
However, these also had differences, even though they were women and both were interested in defending controversial issues for their time, these issues were different for each one and one of the factors of this is that one was born in 1830 and the other in 1950 which make a difference on the context of the both authors an there poems.

First image- Femininity

The first image that I could distinguish when reading the poem was femininity, this was due to the fact that in the poem she talks about some portraits made by an artist of a model, Cristinna Rosetti talks about the model's beauty as well as her youth, however, she also talks about the sadness that she feels in her current life situation. These are the topics that Cristina Rosetti talks about the most because in addition to talking about the femininity of this woman, she also talks about her idealization due to the fact that the artist of the portrait decides to ignore the woman's feelings and only focus on her beauty. , this emphasizes the little voice and authority that women had at that time, the fact that they saw them mostly as objects or material things, leaving aside their feelings or opinion.
As for the relationship of these themes in her life, we can note that Cristina Rosetti was born in 1830 and throughout her life she lived in a society which dominated feminist opposition, and even though we do not have much evidence of whether she wrote essays or treatises. We can clearly see these ideas reflected in her poems as well as her disagreement and more than everything she saw in everyday life in these situations.
A poem that I was able to relate it to is “Venus” since in both poems she talks about the empowerment of women or the lack of it and talks about the male gaze at women.

In the second instance, another image that comes to mind is love and in the year, this is because she shows her discontent towards the affection that the man shows for the woman who is only focused on her physical appearance regardless of her feelings. .In my opinion, Cristina Rosetti specifically emphasizes it here because she somehow stipulates that love can only go up to a certain point since things like feelings or what a woman has to offer do not matter, only material things and if it is pretty or not, more precisely if it meets the stipulated beauty standards.
She shows her disappointment at this type of friendship and situation in various poems, this idea also goes together with the idea of women at that time, specially in the poem we can see this in parts such as "look back at him" "true kind eyes" which demonstrate love as an sexist idea.
Throughout her life Cristina fell in love twice, however all the poems she wrote for one of the men she fell in love with none of them reflect hope or joy, on the contrary they reflect ideas such as disappointment and death, in my opinion it is clearly seen that Cristiina Rosetti went through a lot of pain due to love relationships and that's where his darkness with respect to the subject comes from, in the same way as he mentioned before the disagreement he felt towards how women in a relationship were treated at that time.

Something very characteristic of Christina Rossetti's poems is that many of them have some relationship with religion, this is because she grew up in a very religious family and throughout her life she includes these themes in her poems so they are reflected your beliefs. A clear example of this is in the poem "eve" where she shows important characteristics of her religion along with other topics that are also of interest to her, such as nature, which also appears repeatedly in several of her poems.
Specifically in that poem, Cristinna Rosetti uses words like “angel” that shows that she is also thinking about this other characteristic of hers and is using it to refer to women. In the same way, Cristinna Rosetti throughout this poem makes us understand that this woman is something similar to an icon that is idealized as beauty and feminine virtue.
