A False friend is a word which looks like a word in your language -so your think it means the same- but it has a different meaning.

For example:

- CAREER = the jobs or series of jobs you do during your life (trajectòria, carrera professional)
'carrera universitària' = DEGREE, STUDIES

- ACTUALLY = in fact, really.
'Actualment' = Nowadays, now, these days, at present

- FAMILIAR = well known, easy to recognise (i.e. familiar faces)
If what you mean is 'related to family, i .e. 'problemes familiars' = family problems

- IDIOM = expression

'idioma'= language
