I believe that this event was the most significant because Franklin would later help pull the US out of the Great Depression. Franklin was a beloved president, which helped his decisions be welcomed by the US people.

I think that when the Emergency Relief Act created the Works progress administration in 1935, that was the most significant event of the 1930's. The new program provided millions of jobs to those in need. At the time of the great depression, people were greatly suffering, and many had no income whatsoever. These jobs gave people money to support their families.

In 1931, the United States experienced the worst drought in it's history. This drought then led to the Dust Bowl. I think the Dust Bowl was the most significant because it really affected people and how they were living. Many people lost everything they had and were forced to move to a new place and start a new life.

This is because the Hoover Dam was the largest dam at the time, and provided much needed electricity for thousands of people. World War Two took the lives of millions of Americans, and affected many more. It almost single-handedly lifted the United States out of the Depression. Effects of the war are still felt today, and will be felt forever more.
