The police of Brazil show a violent racial bias towards African People. Many are often unfairly kept in detainment. Police caused the death of over 600 African individuals, just alone in 2015.

People in Brazil are treated unfairly by the police, they are subject to harassment, unwarranted searches and pat downs, and police brutality is rampant. This is especially prevalent with protesters, as many can find themselves hit, detained,  ect. Children are also subject to this treatment.

Brazil's prison system is very corrupt. The prisoners are not given proper food, shelter, or housing. Overpopulation is a big problem. There is a lot of violence in Brazil's prison systems and also adding into the fact that many of the guards in the prison system are corrupt and initiate violence towards prisoners eagerly.
