I am going to use the Universal Design. Although I do not have pupils with Down Syndrome or pupils in the autism spectrum, I do have pupils who have behavioral disorders (on accounts of family problems that they have) and only pupil with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Syndrome). 

 

The universal design for learning proposes to rethink the way we teach. With the option to individualize educational supports and focus the challenge differently and appropriately for each student, so the learning objectives for each task or content should be very clear.

Universal Design for Learning consists of a set of principles for curriculum development that provide all students with equal opportunities to learn.

It showed me how important it is to make flexible not only access to the school, the classroom and the curriculum, but also access to the resources that students need to learn.

So I think it will be through flexible, personalized and appropriate approaches to the needs of each student, with the definition of educational objectives and strategies, materials and forms of evaluation relevant to all, only in this way we will be able to move towards a true inclusive school.

- one of the things I have found really interesting has been the IECE Environment Self-Reflection Tool, which has allowed me to characterise and reflect on my own school setting, i.e., its social, physical and learning environment; this way, I have also been able to better identify some of the things that we, at school, can try to do in order to improve it;

- I have been able to better identify what Inclusive Education is about;

- I have learned about the Universal Design for Learning and some of its practical applications; 

- I have been learning and reflecting more deeply about a few teaching and learning strategies and resources, as well as practical examples / shared experiences, that can be used in the classroom, in order to make it more inclusive, that is to better respond to my students’ needs.

 

This said, I think I have been able to achieve my main objectives for this Module, and look forward to the next ones.

I also find very usefull the self-assesment tool because it offers me a chance to see my schools strenghts and weak sides regarding inclusive school environment.

Finally, a lot of examples were very usefull which was my module's main goal.

Inclusion is a right that must be ensured, but beyond the right of all children, it is the duty of schools to ensure this right.

An inclusive school promotes in the educational community the spirit of mutual help that leads to strategies, where trust and mutual respect are essential.

I’ve learned how to work with tools to support them in reaching their potential. You can do a lot of things. It’s in the little things you do. You can support them a lot by using technology. 

You have to make the difference! 

This module was very, very interesting, from a practical point of view!

In this module, I’ve learned nothing completely new from the theoretical point of view, but I’ve been given a lot of good examples on how to effectively make an educational environment inclusive.  There has been an image I ran across, which particularly hit my attention and in my opinion synthesizes the right path towards inclusion. 
The remaining question is how can I effectively organize my work in order to promote inclusion?

Having a heart and sharing a positive emotion with a SEN student was what I built a long-standing practice. My SEN students are always aware of this and that I will do my best that they be accepted and to succeed. The other students find the best in themselves and accepted those who were initially dismissed. 

This education has shown me that others are looking for ways to work and sometimes it is as difficult as to me. I have learned that other activities will enable all of my students to advance with knowledge, emotion, and social sensitivity. 

I never doubted inclusion. In this module I learned the concept of universal design of learning. I sow many great examples of inclusive and found some useful materials

The first thing a teacher has to a take into account, is to observe them and understand what they are their education needs; then he has to observe them, to understand which is the best way in which they learn.

The last thing to do, is to create lesson plan using as much technology as you can, so that to stimulate them and make them participate in the lesson.
