The Northwest Georgia Chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. is excited to extend an invitation to young ladies at your school to participate in its High School to High Heels Mentoring Program! Spearheaded by the Education Committee, the Mentoring Program is an excellent opportunity to meet other young ladies in the community and be mentored by dynamic women committed to providing African American female youth with tools to help them succeed as they complete their high school education and pursue educational goals at the post-secondary level. Participants in the program will engage in activities that promote advocacy for social justice; nurture mind, body, and soul; foster economic empowerment; and establish lifelong social and professional networks. The High School to High Heels Mentoring Program strives to promote leadership skills and increase exposure to careers in STEM, while increasing the number of African American females who attend college and ultimately obtain a bachelor’s degree and beyond. Participation in the mentoring program affords graduating seniors the opportunity to qualify for college scholarships. For more information on this exciting program, please attend a virtual information session, on August 25, 2024, @ 6:00 PM. See the attached flyer for specific details.
