BELIEF IN THE ANGELS(MALAIKAH)
-Angels are from the world of the unseen.  They were created to obey the commands of Allah and they never transgress His laws or commands.

BELIEF IN KITAB (AL-QURAN)
-In Islam it is a part of faith to believe all the books that were revealed to the messengers. There have been many scriptures revealed throughout the history of mankind. Allah tells us about a few of the names of the scriptures in the Qur’an.

BELIEF IN THE MESSENGER 
-There are 25 messengers who have been mentioned by name in the Qur’an. They include: Adam, Idrees, Nooh (Noah), Hood, Salih, Ibrahim (Abraham), Lut (Lot), Ismail, Ishaq (Isaac), Ya’qoob (Jacob), Yusuf (Joseph), Shu’ayb, Ayoob (Job), Dhu’l-Kifl, Moosa (Moses), Haroon (Aaron), Dawood (David), Sulaymaan (Solomon), Ilyaas (Elias), al-Yasa’, Yunus (Jonah), Zakaria, Yahya, ‘Isa (Jesus) and Muhammad – blessings and peace be upon them all.Prophets and messengers were chosen by Allah, and were sent to every nation throughout the history of mankind.

BELIEF IN THE LAST DAY
-The Day of Judgment is the day when Allah judges mankind for their deeds. Every human being will be resurrected from their graves and will be given their book of deeds – both good and bad. They will regret the sins they committed as well as the good deeds they had missed.

BELIEF IN DIVINE DECREE (AL-QADAR)
-Al-Qadar is what Allah decrees for every single creation based on what has preceded in terms of His Knowledge and in accordance with His Wisdom. Belief in this pillar is to believe that everything that happens, good or bad, happens only according to Allah’s divine decree.

IBADAH
In Islam, ibadah is usually translated as "worship" and means obedience, submission, and devotion to God.

NIYAH
an Islamic concept: the intention in one's heart to do an act for the sake of God (Allah).

AMAL
A value of Islamic society that stresses the need for hard work and action by human beings. The work must be ‘good or beneficial’ (al-‘Amal al-Salih). Islam recognizes the individual’s right to choose any work for his livelihood but obliges him to consider the needs of the society as well.

IHSAN

The word Tahara came from an Arabic word اَلطَهَارُ which linguistically means cleanliness or purification.

Example of Tahara:
-Wudu' (using water)

1) Al-Islaam (Salah is only accepted from a Muslim)
2) Al-‘aql (Sanity. The insane is not held accountable for his/her actions)
3) Al-tamyeez (puberty)
4) State of purity (having wudu or taking a ghusl to remove ritual impurity) and many moreee

Pillars of salah:

  1. " Al-Qiyaam " - prayer is to be performed in a standing position if a person is physically capable.

  2. " Takbiiratil lhraam" that is saying "ALLAHU AKBAR" at the commencement of the prayer.

  3. " Al-Fatihah " - that is reciting the opening chapter of the Qur'an in every Rakaat.

  4. " Rukuu " - this is bowing posture whereby the head and the back are positioned on the same level and both hands are rested on the knees with the fingers spread apart.

  5. A requirement to raise the head up from the Rukuu position.

  6. A requirement to stand up from the Rukuu position in such a way that the person feels that all his/her backbones are straightened.

  7. " Sujuud " that is prostrating oneself in such a way that the following seven parts of the body are firmly placed on the ground: the forehead together with the tip of the nose, both the palms, both the knees, the bottom surface of the toes of both feet.

  8. A requirement to raise the head from the Sujuud position.

  9. A requirement to sit upright during the pause between the two prostrations.

  10. A requirement to take a sitting position for the recitation of the " At-Tashahucl " (words of witness).

  11. A requirement to recite the final " At-Tashahud ".

  12. A requirement to recite the words of supplication for the Prophet ﷺ.

  13. A requirement to conclude the prayer with the words of peace " Tasleem ", i.e. "Assalamu Aleykum Wa Rahmatullaahi Wa Barakatuh".

  14. A requirement that in fulfilling the above pillars the person should be in a state of tranquility.
