It was the second revolution that impacted Realism because of its realistic phenomenon. </em></strong> <br>-----------------------------------------------------------------<br>*  How did the Civil War also impact or influence this literary time period?<br><strong><em>The Civil War impacted this literary time period by expanding the rail system, available land, and the potential of farms, mines and ranches. </em></strong><br>-----------------------------------------------------------------<br>*  What was the Progressive Era and what was its impact on the literature during this time?<br><strong><em>The progressive Era was the excess of uncontrolled industrialism, the squalor of overcrowded cities, and deep social inequalities sparked a wide-ranging impulse for reform. The impact it had on literature during this time was that writers who were known as naturalists followed the lead of the French novelist Emile Zola and they relied on new scientific solutions to dissect human behavior.</em></strong></div><div><br></div><div><br></div>]]></description>
