 Se usan para referir al hablante, este seria "Yo" al oyente serian " tu, usted, ustedes, nosotros-as o a un sujeto externo  seria "él, ella, ellos, ellas" Se llaman pronombres personales porque expresan los rasgos gramaticales de persona "primera, segunda y tercera persona".

Tienen flexión de género, número y persona, y pueden ser en singular y plural.

Usos y aplicaciones
Estos son palabras que se refieren al objeto del que se esta hablando, señalan otras personas aparecidas anteriormente e introducen oraciones subordinadas.

En singular son "que, quien, la que, la cual, cuanta, cuya, el que, lo que, el cual, lo cual, cuanto y cuyo".

En plural son "quienes, las que, las cuales, cuantas, cuyas, los que , los cuales, cuantos y cuyos".

En singular  terminan terminan en "self".

Son los que indican la cantidad de objetos representados en la oración.
Numeros cardinales: 1,2,3 4, etc.
Numeros ordinales:primero, segundo, tercero etc.

Son los que representan variedades indeterminadas de elementos. Todos varían en número y la mayoría varía en género, salvo un par de excepciones.

Pueden ser en singular o en plural y son "bastante-s, suficiente-s, poco- pocas, mucha- as, toda -s, poco-s, mucho- s, todo-s.

Estos son los que señalan a una persona o referente impreciso o desconocido para el emisor del mensaje.

Los pronombres interrogativos sirven para preguntar algo parcial sobre un tema, pero siempre que sea referido a su identidad o cantidad.
Los pronombres exclamativos se usan para enfatizar la expresividad del enunciado.

Todos llevan tilde cuando se escriben.

En singular son " qué,  quién, cuál, cuánto y cuánta".

En plural son "quiénes, cuáles, cuántos y cuántas".
