According to the website linkedin, the future of automobiles is going to shift to sustainable energy. People will start using renewable energy resources instead of fossil fuels. This process has already started but it will also become the norm. Technology will lead to longer driving ranges and shorter charging times making these types of cars more convenient and accessible.

Then, now, and in the future

In the 1920's, existentialism and nihilism became increasingly popular as a result of the first World War, as well as a move towards secularism. As people suffered through war and hardship, people also became more pessimistic about their situation, as well as opening up more opportunity for minorities. For example, women's rights saw progress during WW1 as they took the positions of men who were now fighting at war.

Somewhat similarly, people now, specifically Gen Z, are becoming increasingly existential and nihilistic. An article from GNet, written by Daniel Siegel, posits that the rise of social media has only made this worse, as people are becoming increasingly aware of issues in the world such as inequality, genocides, climate change, etc. There is a general distrust in the government that hasn't been there in previous decades.

It's hard to say what popular philosophical beliefs will be held 100 years from now, but if the trend continues as it is, I believe egalitarianism(a belief that all people are equal, and deserve equality) will become even more popular, just as I think social Darwinism will continue to increase.

As the current system of capitalism prioritizes productivity and monetary wealth, and punishes those who are unable to meet those expectations(for example, the disabled or chronically ill), those that are raised under this system will inherit this same mindset.

Eventually, though, I do think egalitarianism will become the dominating belief, as the population of people who benefit from capitalism become smaller and smaller, more people will realize the faults in the system, and seek out change.

In the future, according to ICAO, airplanes will be used for more than just transporting people and goods between cities, they'll also be used for urban air mobility. I see the possibility of this very likely. Planes will also be flying at faster speeds cutting flight time by about half though some argue that the focus might shift towards more efficient, slower travel depending on factors like energy costs and environmental concerns.

Radios in 100 years, according to PBS, will likely be completely integrated into our environment. This makes sense because there are now smart fridges and Alexa's that can do whatever you ask them to. They will probably be integrated into everyday things like clothing, furniture, or even our homes themselves.
