a digital footprint is a person's trace of activities and posts online, for example pictures on Instagram or tweet on Twitter.
For young people it is of utmost importance to know how to handle and manage their digital footprint because they tend to be the most exposed group of people to the effects of their digital footprint.
They can start by not giving important information like their home address or their full name, it is also important that despite the efforts made to regulate internet there are some dangerous persons on the internet so everyone should mind in what groups they are active or to what people they are talking to.

A digital footprint is all about what you do on internet. It can be all the websites visited, emails sent, all your purchases, all your downloads... In order to avoid being passive, it is better for young people to take measures like limitating the share of personal data, avoiding unsafe websites, being anonymous, deleting all that you can etc...
As an advice, young people should start to manage their digital footprint the easiest posible to avoid any damage in the future. They should limitate their use of social medias and not sharing personal data and sensitive data like their political opinions, location, sexual orientation etc. Because the world is changing every day, you never know if tomorrow a certain data could become a risk for your own life.

A digital footprint is a term that we use to refers a trail of data that you leave behind after using the internet. Normally we search about topics that interest us, social media, locations that your search, etc.

Thinking that you can be tracked basing on your digital activities, it really is important to manage the young people digital footprint, because they are the most exposed group to internet at this time and the consequences can be really bad. But there is a way that young people can protect their digital footprint, like limitanting the use of social media, not posting in a real time, deleting all your history after use, trying not to save all info as a card, adress, full name and documents.

It's not a surprise for all of us that the internet and social media are having more space in people’s lifes, but we have to be very carefull about what we post online, specially because we don’t know what kind of effect it can have in your reputation online and offline.

The best way to keep a positive digital footprint is to use your time to creating a positive profile, thinking before you post, evaluate all the opinions before publish a personall opinion and consider your future because all of us are changing our minds every day, so what we think today, must not be what we think tomorrow.
