So the bigger picture question is why do people do things they know will hurt them? Example: fall in love if they know the possibility of heartbreak. Eat something that will hurt your stomach. Drink alcohol if someone knows they will get a hangover.

My possible answer is that the benefits outweigh the costs. The result of falling in love may just outweigh the hurt of heartbreak.

I am curious about society's curiosity of dinosaurs. Is the display of dinosaur bones an example of a curiosity cabinet in itself? I think humans gravitate towards the investigation and need for knowledge surrounding dinosaurs because it is hard to fathom such vast life before humans. I find it fascinating that humans have pieced together entire geological eras (paleozoic, mesozoic etc,.) and species based on fossils and bones that have been excavated. I also find it eerie that humans have deemed the display of dinosaur bones worthy of spectacle and exhibition, where the exhibition of other bones or skeletons of beings that still exist could be perceived as unremarkable or preternatural. At what point is there a shift in fascination? Is extinction the defining factor in curiosity?

This is a sportsbook in a Las Vegas casino. I am curious as to how Vegas always wins on the sportsbook. What models and algorithms do they have so that the profits always land on their side. So often they will have a line on a game and the final score falls within half a point of that line. It's just crazy to me that they are able to predict these things. I also wonder if Vegas is in control of professional sports leagues. There are plenty of weird and crazy things that have happened that suggest that might just be the case.

Pictured above is my dog Lucy. I have always been curious as to whether animals feel affection and how they process human relationships different from how they view other animals. I have always wondered if the love we humans show pets is understood in any capacity. As animals are instinctual creatures, I have also been curious (recently) about how dogs develop such different personalities. My friend has a dog who loves to meet other dogs, but mine has always never liked socializing with other dogs.

I am curious about the concept of Deja Vu. I actually had a class last semester that talked about Deja Vu. It is something that happens to all of us, but most people don’t really know what it is or why it happens. It is something quite bizarre, and yet we don't really pay any attention to it. We have all felt that feeling of "I've done this before" and we can't help but tell the people around us "Woah, I'm having Deja Vu right now!" But nobody really knows why we feel that way. Have we actually done that exact same thing before? Or is it just a random sensory feeling? One thing mentioned in my other class was that we experience Deja Vu not because we ourselves have experienced this thing before, but our soul has.

I wonder if there is this plane or space where dreams roam and interact with each other. I wonder if the dreamworld is just the night of the imagination world.

I’m curious how some authors have met their characters and engaged with them in a dream.

One thing that I am curious about is a rubix cube. A rubix cube is a cube filled with more little cubes that all have a particular color on it. The goal is to match each color with each other, by twisting each row so that all the same colors are on one side of the cube. This brain game was (and still is) popular when I was in elementary/high school, but I don't actually know how it started—it's just always been around as far as I can remember. I'm curious about the origin of this cube, why and how it became popular. Who invented it? How does it work? How does one solve it? Are there certain techniques that allow you to solve it easier, and why do they work?

I am curious about why I think the way I do relating to dreams. This kind of sounds confusing, but sometimes when I have a dream, I wake up and my dream occurs in real life the very same day, or if not the same day, my dream will manifest itself in my real life a couple days later. I have had many experiences with this. For example, I can have the most specific dream of me riding in an elevator with my neighbor, me dropping my phone, my neighbor picking it up, and then us walking to class together, and then this will actually happen to me in real life the next day. Simply put, I am curious about why I dream this way.

I am curious about the idea of fame. I think it's really interesting like why are there "famous people"? Why do some of us feel so obsessed with this notion of being famous, like the phrase "fame and fortune" ties money to this concept of fame. Which is true that being famous can bring you riches, but at what cost? I don't know because I also feel like there's this other side that is curious to think about. like the fact that there are stalkers and people who become so obsessed with these people, like famous people are just people yet because they're famous they are put on pedestals. I mean yes most famous people are very talented but there are also many talented people who aren’t treated with the same level of attentiveness. What makes people feel so connected to famous people? Why does it feel almost like you know them without even having spoken or seen them in person?

Do we commonly misidentify basic colors because of this?

The moon is predicted to have an ocean with a depth of 40-100miles under a layer of ice 10-15 miles thick. To put that in perspective, Earth's oceans are about 7 miles deep in its deepest parts.
