The H.E.L.P. House Community Outreach opened as a youth outreach for young people and their families in February 1999. Since opening, it has evolved into a large mission for helping all those in need with food and clothing, household items, referrals, and emergency funding..

As a Christian outreach, we provide prayer and scripture when a client is asking for spiritual support. The H.E.L.P. House is an acronym for His Eternal Loving Purpose, signifying our foundation for reaching out to those in need. Regardless of our own spiritual underpinnings, the H.E.L.P. House is resolutely non-denominational.

We serve LGBTQ+ individuals across Ohio who are experiencing hate and bias violence, sexual violence, intimate partner violence, stalking, or another related form of violence. Our hours are M-F 9am-7pm ET. We are currently not 24 hours. Please be aware that if you choose to text an advocate you must click the link that you will receive in the response text in order to open a secure/private chat channel. When you chat through this private channel, text messages will not be saved once the conversation has ended. However, if you continue to text an advocate from your phone without clicking the secure link the text messages will remain in your text history until manually deleted by you.

MHS addresses a host of mental and behavioral healthcare needs, such as depression, anxiety, grief, anger management, phobias, post-traumatic stress, bi-polar, schizophrenia, drug and alcohol abuse, and addictive behaviors.
