I believe that it is possible to preserve the traditions but not all. For my family a tradition that we do is to celebrate the day of the dead. I think that what most attracts the attention of this photo is the girl's hair since I think it is a tradition to have it as well as in my country that represents spiritual strength.

1) I think, we do not have to change traditions because traditions make who we are and they are important in this world, also everyone would like to know other's traditions, so it is better to keep our traditions excatly how they are.
Tradition that are important to me and my family are Christmas, easter week, etc.

In mi opinion I think tha traditions doesn't affect culture. For example in Colombia we have the folKlor dance and is considered very traditional even among our people because it highlights the life of the indigenous people. The dance is based on their everyday life in the mountains.

The tradition that I considered most important in the Dominican Republic is the music. For example, the Tipico, merengue and bachata. Dominican drum is what identify us as a country. Also, the typical and special "Mangu" is a plate make with plantain and butter and some people like to put milk.

I think that it is not possible preserving the traditions while living in urban. Although those clothes looks good, but imagine how you live like this in cities. Think about while you are getting in a car, her bird feather. it is going to break down.
Traditions are important for me , too like this girl. However, I could only maintain some religious traditions(rituals) in my life. I can do my pray which name is Salaah. Using a headscarf is a part of my religion, and fasting for 30 days is another culture of my life.

I think that traditions are part of us. In my country Ecuador, some people still wear traditional clothes. It is very interesant because we can learn everything from our ancestors such as medicinal teas or foods. Likewise,I teach my children about our traditions and we follow some Ecuadorian traditions here. For example, some holidays are a tradition very important for me. When we celebrate the day of the dead, we drink a special drink of fruits. Also, we remember the death of Jesus, so we do not eat meat on that date. Our food is fish or a special soup.

1. I'm sure, that preserving traditions can't stop progress. Many traditions are a pleasant and happy part of the life of every nations. Unfortunately, in some contries, there are barbariric cruel traditions that shouldn't exist in a civilized society. For example, the tradition of killing dolphins in the Faroe Island 😢.
2. For me, traditional family holidays are important, for example, celebrating New Year ( in my country, this is traditional family holiday). I like when whole my family gathers at the festive table, everyone gives each other gifts and wishes happines in New Year.
3. I think that for the girl in the picture are important the traditions of her people. This can be seen in her clothing and horse equipment.

it is not completely possible to make progress while still preserving traditions. For example, as you know that the Amish are known for simple living, plain dress, and they stay away from many conveniences of modern technology. However, they couldn't make progress while still preserving their traditions.
We sometimes have to change some traditions to allow progress to happen. on the other hand, we forget some of our values and traditions.

The human race has made so much progress throughout the time. While progressing, some traditions has been forgotten, but some survived. How traditions can subsist with progression? And how traditions had to be changed to progress?

Many countries has kept their tradition while progressing. In fact, traditions can be a source of progress. By keeping a certain way of living, one may attract people from different coutry and increase the number of tourists, which will directly contribute in the economical progression of the country. It is the case for a country like Japan. They have many attractive traditions such as their food, their monuments, their politeness... Which brings tourists. Tourism is one of the engine of the Japanese progression.
In the actual definition of progress, tolerance is a big part of it. Accepting people as who they are is defined as a progress of mentality. But, in certain country, the tradition do not allow them to go in that way. As an example, most of African countries are very traditional and conservative in terms of mariage and family. Accepting a man with a man, a woman with a woman will more likely not happen.

In conclusion, traditions make who we are. Taking away ones traditions is taking away a part of ones personality. There are no bad traditions from each ones perspective. The best way is to always try to find a balance between traditions and progression for our own and respecting others.

I think some traditions are very important in all countries, cultures and ethnic groups. These features make us stand out from the others. Sometimes some traditions are very strange for us maybe for the others are good, but the problems are when the traditions can be extreme like in Africa. Some traditions are very useful like music, dances, food and costumes, But the other type is unusual like Lip stretching, that is when a girl becomes a teenager in the Surma tribe of Southern Sudan, she begins the process of lip stretching. The girl has her bottom teeth removed to make space for a lip plate, which is increased in size annually.

In my country Colombia specially in Medellin, my city we have a lot types of traditions but the most beautiful are in Christmas like Christmas light, we are crazy about lights, The Night of the Candles, Decorations and Food. For me this traditions are the most important in my life. Every December in this beautiful country is the best moment in Colombian life's.

In my oppinion traditions are important things to keep connection with our ancestors. That lets us to keep not only history about our land but some actions that our parents and grandperents was doing during their lives. Traditions bring people together as one nation.
For example, in my country people used to cook some traditional Ukrainian dishes, selebrate traditional holidays with our family, sing traditional Ukrainian songs and wear traditional Ukrainian clothes. It keeps unity of our nation even if people live out of their country.

In my opinion traditions are part of us but sometimes we need to change some traditions to catch the others develop countries except the religion traditions we should keep it till the end of our life. 1. From my point of view, the society where we live should change some traditions who don' t contribute good things to the future generations, for example, bullfighting is a spanish tradition that many countries of South America have inherited ,but I disagree with this because the main purpose of this tradition is to make damage to an innocent animal and then kill them just for pleasure.
2. My country has lots of traditions , but the most important for me are Christmas, (because we can spend time together), Day of the Creole Song( We usually go to "Peñas" , this is a place where people can dance , sing and listen creole music).

I come from a small country located in Eastern Europe filled with many traditions ,unique culture and its magnificent folklore. Throughout history Albania was part Ottoman Empire for more than 500 years. This helped Albania to enrich its culture more. A few examples of our traditions are : festivals, holidays, food, clothing, myth, etc. All of these factors impact every individual part of this country, including myself. Everyday I respect the lessons learned from the stories, cooking the authentic dishes, practicing the language and every superstitions that I was taught.This what makes me Albanian and this s my identity, every single tradition supports my background and I am not myself without it.Traditions are sacred in every part of a globe ,major pieces passed down from generations to generations. They are important practices and it should be proudly claimed and honored.
