         <title>5.5A Classifying Matter</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>What is matter?<br>Matter is something that has mass and has volume.<br>What are some physical properties  of matter that we can observe?<br>We can observe magnetism, mass, solubility, ability to conduct, ability to insulate, ability to float, and volume.<br>How does matter behave when placed in water?<br>You can classify this by placing an object in water. It will either have the ability to float or sink. If it has more density than the water it will sink.<br>What if it is stirred into water?<br>Some matter have an ability called solubility. This mean the matter can evenly mix throughout the liquid. Some don't and will sink to the floor or float to the top.<br>How the matter react to a magnet?<br>Matter can have magnetism which means it could be attracted to metals like iron, nickel, cobalt, and steel.<br>How is matter classified? <br>Matter can be classified by using tools and our five senses.<br>What tools or test can you use to measure or observe matter?<br>You can use a balance beam, build a circuit, a graduated cylinder, put objects in water, and magnets.<br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>What is energy?<br>Energy is what is needed to work or cause change.<br>What are some different forms of energy?<br>Some different forms of energy are light energy, sound energy, mechanical energy, electrical energy, thermal energy, kinetic energy, and potential energy.<br>How can we use these different energy forms?<br>We can use electrical energy in about anything, like our T.Vs, laptops, and any other things that use electric energy.<br>What are some objects you use everyday that require energy. Pretty much everything because we use mechanical energy to move our pencil, electrical energy to explore other energies, sound energy to hear things, and thermal energy to heat our bodys. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>What is sedimentary rock?<br>Sedimentary rock is a rock with multiple different layers caused by the movement of deposition of sediments, pressure, and millions of years.<br>What are fossil fuels?<br>Fossil fuels are fuels like oil and natural gas.<br>How is sedimentary rock involved in the formation of fossil fuels?<br>Fossil fuels occur during the process of the formation of sediments. Fossil fuels start off as organic matter. Then as sediments build up and pressure and heat are added fossil fuels come out as oils and natural gas.<br>How long does this process take? The process of fossil fuels take millions of years to create.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>What are some different forces that can change Earth's surface?<br>Gravity, erosion, deposition, and pressure can change Earth's surface.<br>How can you describe and identify landforms like deltas, canyons, and sand dunes?<br>You can recognize some shaped that these landforms sometimes make, like delta is usually a triangle like landform.<br>How is wind, water, or ice involved in the formation of these landforms?<br>These things can make land forms, like a sand dune is made because of wind, a canyon is made by the river carving out the rocks, or deltas caused by the slowing down of water.</div>]]></description>
