GENDER IDENTITY

Gender is something you have to figure out for yourself, there's no solid answer. It's an identity only you can place. In my opinion, this is one of the only categories that cannot be influenced by outsiders.

Since the 6th grade, I've always had trouble defining what was different about me. It wasn't until a year later I met someone who was trans and told me about their experience. As they talked and talked, I started connecting the dots. The dots were pink, blue, and white and combined into a beautiful flag. Realizing this changed how I viewed the world, and myself. It made me more happy and free.
I wouldn't say anything "influences" gender, but you can influence how comfortable someone is with their own.

SOCIAL LEARNING THEORY

The social learning theory is the theory that children learn by observing and imitating those around them, like their parents. If the parents are doing bad behaviors like abuse, the child will grow up to be abusive/only feel comfortable in abusive situations. If the parents are doing good behaviors, like talking to each other in a healthy way then the child will repeat that.

This definitely happened to me. I would say words and ideas that didn't belong to me, while claiming the ownership. I would regurgitate alt-right beliefs I was drowning in from those around me. Thankfully, I no longer talk to those people I used to call "friends" anymore.

COGNITIVE/SOCIAL STIMULATION/DEPREVATION

Cognitive/social stimulation/deprivation deals with how much a child is given either socially or cognitively. For example, giving a kid a book is cognitive stimulation. Forcing a kid to stay home instead of playing with friends, and not interacting with the kid is social deprivation. It can cause distress in social situations, yet excel in academics.

As a child, I was given a lot of cognitive stimulation. I was given books, summer school, etc. That's probably why I have more analysis skills than someone who didn't grow up in that environment. However, my parents were gone for a good majority of my childhood, leaving me socially deprived. They're not negligent, but they weren't also the most involved.
