Therefor, the time period is present day. DACA had a very positive impact on many people lives. It has a very positive impact on our community because it gave immigrants a new chance for life. Most people believe that everyone deserves a chance, and that's what DACA is. It was created by Barack OBama and signed into effect on June 15, 2012.  Some groups that wanted DACA passed and still support it are Independents, Democrats, Republicans. There were nearly 700,000 people that young people tried to help protect it.It was meant to protect children who immigrated to the United States from deportation. It also gave them a work permit. After 2 years, the program expires for the child, but they can subject ro renew it.
       
       In April 2018, Donald Trump decided to try to shut down the program, but The Supreme Court said that it was legally flawed so they blocked the policy changed. As of now, DACA has helped over 826,000 youth have been accepted into the program. On August 18, 1920, this amendment was officially signed into the Congress. It had a very positive impact on the community because it gave women the right to vote. It officially prohibits any state from rejecting a citizen to vote based off of their gender. The main group that wanted this amendment passed were women. Specifically, the National Woman Suffrage Association. It was lead by Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton.

       On May 21, 1919, U.S. Representative James R. Mann created this bill. It was late then approved by Congress and put into action. This was created because women wanted and needed more rights. This helped start many women's rights movements. In 1916, people had tried to get leverage and let women vote but they were unsuccessful. That just made this amendment so much better for them. It was passed on June 30, 1906 by President Theodore Roosevelt. It had a very positive impact on the community and our everyday lives because it keeps us safe from eating bad meat and keeping good meat sanitary. One person that really wanted this act to be passed were Upton Sinclair. He wrote a book on it and everything. It was called "The Jungle" and was published on November 4, 1905. It exposed the horrific conditions of the meat packing industry.

       It strengthened requirements for sanitary conditions in packaging places. It also required inspection of meat before you shipped off your meat to stores. This act was passed to try and prevent bad meat products being sold and they wanted to ensure that that meat was slaughtered and make in clean conditions. One way that they did this was by adding food labels to meat in stores. They also had the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) inspect all cattle, swine, sheep, goats, and horses. There is also Medicaid, which is for low income families, some pregnant woman, and people with disabilities. Medicaid provides a health insurance program for low income families and people with disabilities. Medicare also provides a health insurance program except its for the elderly.
       It was originally introduced by the Whitlam Government in early 1975. It gave them health insurance which made it easier for them to cover their medical bills. The Elementary and Secondary Education Act was also signed into law in 1965 and was positive. It gave everyone a chance at an equal education and gave schools more funding. Finally, the DACA acts were very, very positive. It gave children another chance at a new life.
