- Parental Health and lifestyle (children who live with parents with mental health problem may have a great impact on their growing path, parents may lack of the necessary support to deal with their condition).

- Parents not available for their children, due to their working long hours and they don't have enough time to devote to their children or they are neglectful. For example they don't have time to cook a proper meal for their children and don't have time to help them with the homework. On the other hand, parents who have more spare time can spend more time with children and send them to after school clubs or sport activities. This helps them to become more social.

- Poor parenting skills: including physical, emotional neglect or unpredictable parental behaviour. Some parents can't even cook. Children with poor diet can have their development affected.

- Economic influence: growing up in poverty can affect every area of a child's development (physical, intellectual, emocional/social and language). For example, children who don't have enough food will have their concentration affected. And children who don't have appropriate clothes might be bullied at school
