Always make sure you are covered up when going into tick infested areas. The best way to prevent getting a tick bite is to wear closed toed shoes, pants, long sleeves, and gloves if you can. Always check yourself and your kids to make sure you do not have a tick on you. Do not forget to put on insect repellent when outside. And just because you have had it once does not mean you won't get it again.
