This is the announcement for the 1st Leaders’ Meeting (LM) for the Romans 26/27 study

As this is the first LM prior to the introduction lecture, there will be no GL teaching in the strictest sense.

We will this week focus on:

1) Administration tasks required of GLs: CA and team will brief on:

a. Monday 17th August 2026 Physical class

b. We shall all meet at the Sanctuary of CBC at 1915hrs for the Welcome/Prayer, 1 hymn and dismissal to groups. The SP and children will also meet at the Sanctuary at the same time. (SDGs are not included)

c. Pre-class prayer is at 1900hrs in the Annex room, level 2 on Monday’s physical classes.

2) Conducting your first class night for your group: We will go through an example of how you can conduct your 1st class night group meeting/1st Discussion group

Can GLs in the 4 group chats put out a simple plan consisting of:

a) The prayer you will have for your men and group to open and close the 1st class meeting on the 17th August 2026 and 20th for the SDG.

b) A statement you can say to introduce the study of Romans to your group, you may use anything you learnt from the leaders’ workshop on the 1st August 2026.

c) How you would introduce yourself and the members to each other i.e. icebreaker

d) Specific clear instructions you want your members to need to know or be reminded to have a smooth transition to discussion of questions for online and physical classes for the rest of the 29 lessons this coming year

Please pen your prayer, thoughts and plans in your group chats so that all might benefit and know and come share them this Saturday so they might also use them this coming Monday 17th August 2026

“Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts as we begin this year’s study – “Romans: from Guilt to Grace”, together. We ask for Your guidance and wisdom to lead us throughout the 30 lessons. Bless each of us and open our minds and hearts to receive Your teachings and sharing authentically. May Your presence be with us, and may we grow in understanding and faith.

“As we embark on the study of Romans, let us approach it with open hearts and minds. Romans can be complex and challenging.  Be encouraged > By HIS Grace, we can we can journey together allowing the Holy Spirit to guide and lead us.

Let’s keep each other in prayer (through the ASK) and encourage each other to live faithfully.”

Transition to Discussion (Online and Physical)

1. Preparation:

   • Pray before starting each lesson.

2. Participation:

   • Encourage everyone to participate actively and respectfully in discussions.

3. Discussion Questions:

   • Be prepared with discussion questions beforehand

   • For both online and physical classes, we will adhere to the time allocated for each discussion.  For online sessions, we can have some additional time (10-15mins)

4. Respect and Confidentiality:

   • Remind members to respect each other’s opinions and maintain confidentiality about personal sharing in the group (and ASK)

5. Follow-Up:

   • After each class, review key points from notes and lecture and highlight them at ‘Day 1’ questions at the next session.
