         <description><![CDATA[<div>TB is transmitted through infected droplets in the air. The infected person could cough, sneeze, or speak and anyone near could inhale the infected droplets.&nbsp;<br><br>If you have a disease or sickness that makes your immune system compromised (cancer, diabetes, etc.), you have a higher chance of getting TB.<br>You could also travel to regions with high TB rates and contract the infection. &nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>While the risk of being exposed to TB is very low in America, there are still steps you can take to prevent contracting it.&nbsp;<br><br>TB testing/screening is offered in clinics if you believe you have been exposed.<br>Stay in good ventilated areas, or wear a mask in highly populated areas.&nbsp;<br><br>If you have been exposed, cover your mouth or nose when you cough and continue to take all the medicine you have been prescribed.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Mycobacterium tuberculosis are resistant to so many drugs. This means there are few and sometimes no treatment choices left.&nbsp;<br>There is a vaccine called the BCG vaccine (Bacille Calmette-Guérin) which protects against TB. It has been around since the early 1920s.&nbsp;<br>Isoniazid is used to treat TB and is often prescribed along with other drugs. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Opened in 1910, this hospital was built to accommodate patients with TB. When the "White Plague" outbreak took over Jefferson county, the hospital had to add on. In 1961, the hospital closed to the new treatment and antibiotic for TB which lowered the need for the hospital. </div>]]></description>
