Give students 10 items (I use sentences). Place each item on a different peice of paper in the hallway. Place students into groups of 3-4. 1 student runs outside, memorizes the material on one paper, comes in and recites to group, another student writes it, another student draws it, last student cheers on the rest. The roles in the group change per paper

Students are in pairs. Students translate a section of Latin (together or separately). Teachers checks one person at random to make sure the text is correct.

In table groups (3-5 students), they will annotate and evaluate a passage for 10-12 minutes. Then, with the passage projected on the screen, they will mark it up and share their ideas as a group with the class.

I do centers in my class. Each group will have different activities to do and then after a few minutes, they will rotate.

I assign Group projects within my classroom almost every unit, so students can take the information that I have given them and apply it into something tactile. With this, I think this deepens student understanding of whatever topic that I am trying to get kids to understand. Rather than just giving students the information and expecting them to understand it and apply it onto the test, this gives them an opportunity to take information and apply it prior to ever seeing a test question. I always try to structure the projects along with the AKS's, to give the student the opportunity to process the thinking required to master said AKS as well.

I will have students work in pairs and walk to different stations around the room. This allows for collaboration and movement for the students to work on the goal material. I observe each group throughout the class period to address misconceptions.

I present the students with an in-class assignment or show a Youtube video related to the topic. The purpose is to apply their new understanding of those uncommon terms.
