With a practice they do, “slash and burn,” almost a whole forest gets eliminated each year.

Usually, deforestation is caused by Wildfires.

Another reason deforestation occurs is by the construction of the dam. To build the dam, trees are needed to be cut down to make room for the dam and to have more space to gather the water.

In 1930, deforestation occurred and created a massive impact. Nowadays, India has realized the issue and minimized the issue as much as possible.
