Based on my personal experience, social media just made me think the life I don't have and instead of sharing with others and I get stressed by it , and because that gave me anxiety I decided that in my case social media just delays my personal journey to what makes me happy and I what I want for my life. Also I detected is a tool to distraction because its algorithm is so well done and is the purpose.

I also think it has more benefits and more good things to give like the facility to look for information and to communicate with others

I don't think avoiding it is the solution, but maybe being aware of the consequences and the terms that each social network has, and mainly agreeing.
