It's a film about selflessness, greed, and love. It has a good balance in terms of humor, romance, and lightheartedness. The way they showcased the scenes are also good and the aesthetics are in line with the story they want to tell through the lighting, colors, and costume design. The style reinforced the themes explored in the film through the scenes that incorporated visual techniques like slow motion. It's a 2010 American romantic comedy-drama film directed by Rob Reiner, based on a novel of the same name written by Wendelin Van Draanen in 2001. 

The film tells the story of two eighth-graders who start to have feelings for each other, despite being total opposites. As typical of a movie plot that sounds, the way this movie was directed and written definitely was a game-changer for me when I first watched the film. Each of their point of view was shown in the movie, making me understand where each of them was coming from. Moreover, their character/personality and the script itself made the whole movie feel very relatable. It definitely depicted what eighth-graders thought about love.

Additionally, the overall aesthetics of the film is very light and homey. Since the setting of the film was mostly their town, as an audience I was able to feel immersed in the movie since the scenes and backgrounds were usually the same.

Although it is a lighthearted film, it was very wholesome for me to NOT cry. Tears were definitely shed as I neared the ending *no spoilers*.

This film was directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina and was starred by Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards. This film actually received multiple awards both locally & internationally and was even proclaimed as the highest grossing Filipino film of all time.

The film gives a glimpse of OFW’s lives overseas through the life of Joy—the main character played by Kathryn Bernardo. Joy had big plans for herself, making Hong Kong, the country she’s currently in, a ‘stopover’. She battles the everyday life of a domestic helper hoping that she’ll be in a better place someday; until one day, she meets Ethan (Alden Richards), a fellow Filipino who is trying to get a permanent Hong Kong residency, through an unexpected encounter.

There’s no denying that it is not the first time a romance-drama film (or teleserye) about an OFW’s life was ever released, but through the actors’ portrayal, cinematography, exchange of lines, and the base story/plot itself, the film got the recognition it deserved. One of the things that is easily noted was the fact that the film, although categorized under romance, did not solely revolve on Joy and Ethan’s love story; it became an eye-opener on the struggles of OFWs abroad, it touched on issues of families, and it showed how it is never wrong for someone, for anyone, to dream and to actually run for their dreams no matter how absurd their current situation looks like.

As mentioned earlier, the film’s cinematography was one of the likeable things about it; it captured angles that better show the actors’ emotions, it also played with the lighting and audio to set the mood for different scenarios. The film aesthetics was so easy on the eyes as they did not use unnecessary and loud elements throughout the film; it helped the audience enjoy, focus, and connect with the story of the characters better.

Oceans 8 is a 2018 heist movie starring an all female cast including Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Sarah Paulson, Helena Bonham Carter and Rhianna and is a remake of the 2001 film Oceans 11. The film is about Debbie Ocean (Sandra Bullock in her first film after a 3 year hiatus) who's the sister of Danny Ocean (George Clooney) who was killed off in the original film and was released from prison. She later meets an old friend of her's played by Cate Blanchett and Debbie decides to steal a valuable necklace from the met gala which will be worn by Daphne Zulger (Anne Hathaway). So she organizes a heist along with Rhianna, Mindy Kahling and Helena Bonham Carter(sporting an Irish accent) who helps her steal from the met gala Will they get away from it.  'Ocean's Eight' was a great movie for me. It's a significant step down from the great 'Ocean's Eleven,' but I actually enjoyed it more than 'Ocean's Twelve' and 'Ocean's Thirteen.' They got a lot of things right in this 2018 film. Not only the pacing, but also the casting.

It's nice to see Sandra Bullock (Debbie) return for the sake of continuity, as well as the fact that she's excellent in this. I like her as an actress, but her performances can be irritating at times; here, on the other hand, I love how charismatic and confident she plays Debbie. Cate Blanchett (Lou) is also a strong supporter of her. The rest of the cast members are excellent choices. I had a good time seeing Rihanna and Awkwafina, as well as Sarah Paulson, Mindy Kaling, and Anne Hathaway. James Cordon also makes an appearance; he seems to divide opinion, but I like him. The sheer audacity of the crime in "Ocean's 8" is enough to make you smile. The sustained thrill of the high-wire act, however, comes from watching the players lay out their complex plan, then seeing if it actually goes as smoothly as they'd hoped. Ross and co-writer Olivia Milch give each of these ladies a chance to shine along the way, but because they've assembled such an impressive lineup of talent, you wish some of the supporting players had been fleshed out more. This is especially true of Kaling, Paulson, and Awkwafina, and it's the film's one major flaw.

The plot is engaging and entertaining. I had some doubts about one aspect of the event, but I thoroughly enjoyed watching it play out. I also liked the editing that surrounded it. The ending isn't perfect, but it's more than adequate. Some people thought it would just be a "feminist flop", while others expected it to be a success both commercially and critically. I expected this film to be good when it went in to see it and I was satisfied by what I got.  It is not the best movie but I am very interested in this movie genre and it always excites me to watch this kinds of movie.

Here We Go Again, which is the 2018 prequel/sequel to the hit Mamma Mia :) It's a movie about love and finding oneself, and has a good mix of romance, music, humour, and joy.

Both Mamma Mia! and Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again are jukebox musical romantic comedy films that are based on the songs of the pop group ABBA, with ABBA member Benny Anderson composing additional music. The second movie, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again was directed by Ol Parker and written by Parker, Catherine Johnson, and Richard Curtis. The movie sees the return of all (or if not, most) of the original cast, plus new characters as well.

The film is set 5 years after the original film, where Sophie (Amanda Seyfried), is getting ready for the reopening of Hotel Bella Donna and ultimately, the birth of her child. The movie alternates between the present and the past, with some of the time periods mirroring each other. The flashbacks start from when a young Donna (Lily James) graduates from university, progresses to how she meets Sophie's three dads and ends when she gives birth to Sophie. 

This movie did a great job explaining Donna's past - the adventures of her (Meryl Streep/Lily James), Rosie (Julie Walters/Alexa Davies), and Tanya (Christine Baranski/Jessica Keenan Wynn) - and how she met Bill (Stellan Skarsgård/Josh Dylan), Harry (Colin Firth/Hugh Skinner), and Sam (Pierce Brosnan/Jeremy Irvine). I also loved how the movie portrayed Sophie and Sky's (Dominic Cooper) relationship, showing that no relationship is perfect and how the couple works things out in the end. Each of the characters retained the same lovable, hilarious personalities from the previous film, and with the younger versions of the main characters being introduced, it adds another level of depth to the characters.

The soundtrack was another great aspect of the film, with fan favourite songs returning (such as Dancing Queen, Super Trouper, and Mamma Mia!), while other ABBA songs made their movie debut (?), such as Waterloo, Angel Eyes, and Why Did It Have to Be Me. I loved how both this movie and the first one were able to write stories around ABBA's iconic songs and by doing so, they were able to bring more awareness to ABBA's beautiful songs. My favourite part was Cher's appearance at the end (not saying why or how, just Cher. *in order to avoid spoilers*)

The film was set in Greece (in the present and in some of the flashbacks) and has beautiful scenery, which leaves you in awe and makes you want to visit Greece. The aesthetics of the film are very warm, light, and wholesome, which makes the movie loveable and memorable. The film definitely had its unforgettable jokes and knew when the perfect moment was to burst into song, which makes it very memorable.

The story takes place in a dystopian and post-apocalyptic Chicago, where people are divided into distinct factions based on human virtues. Beatrice Prior is warned that she is Divergent and thus will never fit into any one of the factions. She soon learns that a sinister plot is brewing in the seemingly perfect society. The film received mixed reviews: although its action sequences and performances, notably Woodley's, were praised, critics deemed its execution and handling of its themes to be generic and unoriginal, and compared it unfavorably to other young adult fiction adaptations. "Divergent" is all about identity, about searching your soul and determining who you are and how you fit in as you emerge from adolescence to adulthood. So it's all too appropriate that the film version of the wildly popular young adult novel struggles a bit to assert itself as it seeks to appeal to the widest possible audience. The reason why I love this movie so much, is because it has a well romantic, fiction, and exciting story. The aesthetics and styles were also well combined with the people and places through their choice of lighting and colors. They had five factions which every one of them had their respective color. 

It's indeed one of the best movies I ever seen and recommend you to watch! And its sequels as well :D

Paige (Rachel McAdams) and Leo (Channing Tatum) are a happily married couple who have just celebrated their first anniversary. However, after Paige is involved in a vehicle accident, her ideal life together is shattered. Paige awakens with severe memory loss and has no recollection of Leo's existence. She also has a tense connection with her parents, and she still has emotions for a former fiancé from her previous engagement.  The couple's relationship will be renewed and their marriage will be rebuilt despite these difficulties. The Vow flirts with several interesting themes – the nature of identity, the mystery of attraction.

It's a film that really resets our thoughts since it shows a great and unexpected true story that happened in the past. As a reason, we understand the significance of true love in our lives. This film serves as a reminder of how well we know someone else. For me, this is one of my favorite romantic movies. Paige don't recognise Leo. And we clearly see what he is going through. I felt very sad for Leo. His parents  died and he has only one person on his life and that person don't remember him. This award-winning film is considered to be one of the greatest films of the 21st century according to numerous critics. The theme of the movie is about class divisions and it was shown through its contrasting lighting, vertical compositions, rain, and stairs. It's a French movie about lovers, both women, set in the 1770's. Marianne was sent to paint Héloïse's portrait so that she can be sent off to marry a man in Milan.  It was revealed that they had already hired another painter prior to Marianne and Héloïse refused to pose because she did not want to be wed. Marianne was to pretend that she was only there to accompany Héloïse on morning walks. Eventually, Héloïse learns that Marianne was a painter and agrees to pose for her. They fall in love in the process but reality hits and Héloïse is whisked away to marry the man in Milan. Marianne and Héloïse loved each other, though it was taboo especially in the 18th century, and it's tragic that they'd never get to be with each other for a longer while. 

I loved the symbolisms they put in this film, it can be a bit confusing at times and I did have to look up what the symbolisms had meant but it was so beautiful. I loved the dynamics between all of the characters. And I loved how they shot the film in general. A lot of the scenes were very wallpaper-esque and I learned a lot about queer couples in a non-modern setting and how restrictive it could be. The film was directed by Denis Villeneuve, scores composed by Hanz Zimmer, and cinematography by Greig Fraser. Similar to the book of the same title, this film brings a style of science fiction that many fans of the genre have not seen before.

The story revolves around marquess Paul Atreides, whose mother was supposed to have a daughter to fulfill a prophecy, but instead chose to have a son, defying her traditions. This caused great concern for House Atreides. Still, Paul was treated as a normal child until he starts seeing visions. The film speaks on Paul's journey through his experience with classicism, tradition, and loyalty.

The soundtrack of the movie sounds similar to many instrumental songs played before, but what makes it different is its use of a combination of uncommon instruments and even voices, making it sound foreign to anything heard before. In an interview, Hanz Zimmer mentions that he noticed that the soundtracks of sci-fi films leaned towards European, whimsical songs. Being a fan of the book series and genre, he wanted to make his vision of using unique sounds. The cinematography and enhancements of CGI made me love the film even more. My mind usually blanked and suddenly I couldn't think of any movies that I even liked.  The release of the movie Mama Mia 2: Here We Go Again changed that for me. 

I had always been fond of musicals because they were much more fun and upbeat. Hairspray was another one of my favorites since childhood. 

Mama Mia 2 is the prologue to Mama Mia 1, giving us an insight on the life of Donna, providing us with the answers to all of Sophie's ( Donna's daughter) unanswered questions from Mama Mia 1. In the first movie, Sophie invites 3 of her mother's past relations to her wedding in hopes of finding out who her real father is while keeping mostly everyone but her friends in the dark. The first movie mostly follows Sophie around as she realizes that it doesn't matter who her real father is when she can have three, because they all grew to love her in the end. I always thought that the glimpses of Donna's life that we were given were much more interesting than the storyline of the first movie, which is why I like the second movie a lot more than the first. 

We follow a younger Donna, freshly graduated from Oxford University, Donna and her friends want to find adventure, so she sets off around Europe, where she meets Harry, Bill, and Sam, each of them she spends a day and a night with falling in love, but whom Donna eventually leaves. While in Greece, she stumbles upon a run down house and stays there, finding out later it is owned by a lady she knows, she decides to leave her old life behind and repair the house and live on the island. She falls in love with Sam, but later on, finds out he is engaged to another woman. With Sam and her friends gone, she finds out she is pregnant and raises her baby Sophie on the Greek island with her. 

Aside from stunning visuals, the soundtrack is my favorite aspect. This is a 2009 film directed by Marc Webb from a screenplay written by Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber about relationships, breaking up, moving on and finally letting go. 

This has been a long time favorite of mine ever since I first saw this film because of how much I relate to the character, Summer Finn who is described as your typical manic pixie dream girl by many but for me I believe is gravely misunderstood. 

The visuals of this film is also something I love and really pay to attention to big time when watching this because it adds so much more character to the film just like how the color grading changes signifying happy and sad times throughout the film and how warm colors are usually associated with Tom while more dull and cool tones are used for Summer based on their personalities. There is also a notable scene in this film that isn't very common to see in movies wherein they show a side-by-side of Tom's expectations v.s. reality which I find to be a very unique and creative way of showing this to the viewers. This film's aesthetics is very warm, mellow and comforting especially if you are in your feels while watching and this somewhat gives off a very vintage or set in the old days vibe.
