When something bad happened at the school, the staff would always blame the asian person if there was an asian involved. The community I lived in had a lot of asians and I always hung out with them. If I had a baseball game, I would always be put in the outfield. Whites would treat asians like they were trash. All the popular kids were "Official Americans" ( That's what they callled themselves.) and the asians were " Trash " so the community wasn't that good. In a couple of books that I've read, the other characters mistreated the African-American. For example, in 'The Might of the Angels', Dawn's dad was thrown out of his job just because his daughter was integrating the Americans school.

In Breakout Cole was persistent and kept asking about Elidee her brother and went on until he told her to just go back to were she came from which was completely uncalled for. On page 167 Walker said to Elidee, "yeah, but black people are always fast." and Cole joined in and said, "so that they can out run the cops." . Both of these are examples of being racist in Breakout, they are making snappy and rude remarks about her skin tone.
