Each and every person deserves the same fair and equal rights. For instance, the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights states, "All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights."

    I disagree with the statement that usually the best and the brightest people are leaders. There are many people out there who have become very successful even if they aren't the best at what they do or the smartest. For example, Lee Iacocca once stated, “I hire people brighter than me and get out of their way.”

    I agree with the statement that the government knows what's best for its people. However, while they may know what's best, they don't always do what's best for the people and sometimes get distracted by other issues. For instance, one issue that the American government has been distracted by is explained by Stirling when he states, "The U.S. oil industry has managed to provide the American driving public with an uninterrupted supply of gasoline."

    I agree with the statement that people who cannot read are often taken advantage of. This is the case especially when someone who doesn't choose to read books takes advantage of someone who can't read books. For example, when Mark Twain stated, "A person who won’t read has no advantage over one who can’t read."

    I disagree with the statement that educated people should be trusted to make decisions for those who are less educated. The level of your smarts should not dictate who is in charge of one another. For instance, a howstuffworks article stated, "But it may be hard to stay focused after reading about the success of these famous dropouts." That article includes many successful and famous people who dropped out of school.

The pigs who have been leading the farm with their corruption, and who have started to walk on their hind legs, decide to meet up with the other farm owners and put all the previous conflict behind them. They meet up at the Animal Farm and celebrate the end of all future conflict while they announce toasts, play cards, and drink alcohol. The other animals sneak into the house and see the loud noise the pigs and other farm owners are making and see they are together laughing and cheering. At the very end, the animals can't tell the difference between the humans and the pigs who have started acting very differently. 
    The only change I would make to the end of the book would be making animals who did all the dirty work for the pigs rebel and chase them off the farm so they can have their freedom. They can then be free of a corrupt government and do whatever they want.
    Animal Farm starts off optimistic as the animals succeed in their first revolution against the humans and start their new freedom. However, as the story progresses, the pigs start making a more corrupt system and the animals get treated with more cruelty making the novel pessimistic. I would say the novel overall is pessimistic because the idea of a rebellion against farm owners who are neglecting turning into the same thing with animals seems like a negative theme. Also, the poor treatment of the animals shows negative emotions to the readers.
    Overall, I loved reading this novel. It was put together great and the way the story progresses was extremely fun to read. I think Orwell did a great job making the book and the theme and overall ideas in the book were very intriguing and thought-inducing.
