Kids need to know expectations and the structure of their environments to feel safe. They need to know what's expected to be able to rise to the occasion.
It helps to build relationships.
It helps with self-advocacy and learning to ask for what they need (vision boards). Kids these days have so little control over their environment or their schedule, that this helps kids to have a voice.
