They no longer owned slaves , because it was illegal.
2. Plantation owner's couldn't receive as much money, because now they had less the amount of money, and less the amount of workers. If they wanted extra help, they could hire freedmen, and hire family.
3.  New systems of crop - gaining ruled throughout plantations , one being sugar cropping , and the other being tobacco . 
4. Luckily , plantation owner's weren't at too much competition , because now most plantation owners were all equal , each not having any slaves , but lot's of land.

The Southerners had a specific name for them, it was "Carpetbaggers"
2. Southerners looked down upon Carpetbaggers, because they were against their politics and behaviors, despite the Carpetbaggers helping with the reconstruction.
3.Carpetbaggers usually came to the South starting job's as farmers, teachers, or entrepreneurs.
4.  Some of the Carpetbaggers that traveled to the South were actually Union Soldiers, who just decided to stay in the South rather than move back up North.

2.Some Freedmen got job's working at a plantation, because some were incapable of learning yet, or because all they ever knew were plantations.
3. After the Freedmen's Bureau was passed , over 1,000 schools were created in the South.
4. Even though Black's were considered free , they still had limited freedom , because of Black Codes.

2. A law was passed because of people voting for the constitution of 1868 , where women had a lot more rights, one of them being that they could choose their last name after marriage.

4. Many women had to start doing non - traditional job's and odd chores , because their husbands weren't there to do them themselves

2. Small farmers were now at a bit of competition towards Freedmen , because lot's of them  were now small farmers.
3. Small farmers now felt like their social - superiority was being threatened by Freedman.
4.  Some small farmers had so much resentment towards Freedmen , that they joined                          black - vigilante association , such as the KKK.
