         <description><![CDATA[<div>The mummification process was pivotal in the proper burial and passage into the afterlife of Pharaohs and Queens of the time.&nbsp;It was thought that if the mummy isn't given a proper burial, they will roam the spirit world aimlessly until the end of time. While proper burial, allowed for a deity-like life in the afterlife amongst the Gods and Goddesses. </div>]]></description>

It combines logograph (a type of character connected to a specific symbol or sound). They are gradually being deciphered over time. Examples of the deciphering is in the colorful image, and an example of full text is the tan colored image. </div>]]></description>

Most have odd shapes or features, because these features correlate to what they are the God/Goddess of. For Example Ra, who is the God of the Sun, wears a sundisk upon his head in one of his many forms. </div>]]></description>

The overall respect of animals was obvious in their ideals of worship and the afterlife. Egyptians were also very conscious of the characteristics of animals. This is apparent in sculptures and artifacts recovered with reverence to specific deities. </div>]]></description>
