When she found out that Roger had been storing it for her grandma and never bothered to open the tin box, she felt frustrated,but was determi-
ned to solve this mystery once and for all! Gloria went to visit her grandmas  sister and opened the box, when her grandma saw what was in it, her face expretion changed to sad and she explained that her sister stored change for a vacation but never had the chance to go. Gloria was proud for working so hard and spent the money on a nice vacation!                                             
In Mile -High Mystery,a girl and her sister are determined to not give up to find the owner of a lost dog. They were doing homework when a they heard a desperate cry. A lost dog sat outside of their porch with ice all over his face and paws. They took him in and were so determined to help the dog find his true owner! They found a name on the collar that said Mile High and tried to call the owner but no one was named mile high.She sighed but didn't give up.She tried looking on the internet and BOOM! Their was an animal clinic that matched it in Denver and the mystery was solved!

In the story she says she is determined to find out where her great grandmothers gold came from.
so she asks her mom if she had information   and her mom said that rogers had it first. So she went to rogers house and he didn't have good information so she was mad but she never gave up.
  she thought who could have the information and that is when she thought of her great grandmothers sister. she said that her grandmother stored it for vacations and never had the chance to go.she felt proud. That is how Gloria had determination.

 In the story, Mile high mystery a girl shows determination when she doesn't give up.In the story she says she was determined to find the owner of the poor dog.
 So she brings it inside and warms it up with a blanket . just then she hears a little jingling noise and figured out that the dog had a collar . she thought it would say where he lived but it only said mile high .
 she started calling clinics and couldn't find where he lived . she sighed, but couldn't give up . she thought hard and then remembered that there was a clinic called mile high . she called that clinic and figured out that they lived not far from here . the mystery was solved . that is how she felt determined.

That is when she feels determined to find out how the money got there. After that she called her uncle which didn't know where the money came from so then she feels frustrated that she still dosn't know where the money came from but she still feels like she just cant give up so then she goes to her great aunt house finds out that's where the money came from. So her determination ended up paying off. In the story Mile-High Mystery a Girl shows that she has determination by finding a dog then she lets it inside so that it can get out of the snow. First thing she feels is determination to find this dogs owner. Then she hears jingling so she goes over to the dog and finds a collar with a tag so she then tries to call the dogs vet. It says "Mile High city" so she looks for it the phone book but its not there so then she feels like she wont find the dogs home but then she remembers that Denver's nick-name is Mile high city. So she calls the number on the tag and finds out that the people moved to her town. So then she remembers that the dog belongs to the people right down the street. Gloria does not give up.in the chest, she was confused why the money was in there .she ask her mom where that money came from, and her mom said that her great uncle roger had  before us. In the story determined to find  a dog. so she brings him a blanket. and she hears a jingle and its the dogs collar. the dog would not stay where it needed to be. so she calls a animal clinic and could not find where the dog had lived. she though and thought she knew she could not give up. all the sudden she thinks and remembers theres a animal clinic called mile high. so she called and figers out that the dog lives just right down the street from her. and that's her determination.
