August thinks that he is a pretty ordinary kid. He thinks that other people are the ones who don't think of him as ordinary. He feels ordinary, but he knows that he may not appear ordinary to others.

he heard his parents talking about protecting him and about how his parents had been thinking about that school. He really didn't want to, but deep down inside, he saw their point. Also, he liked Mr. Tushmans name.
