It was partially because I didn't expect some batchmates to be interested in the 1930s. But it was mostly because of how in-depth the proposal was.


The synopsis was very intriguing, and when I read the expanded lore, I saw the clear connection of this story to modern society (if you haven't read it already, please do!). The underlying lesson is something that we can relate to as children of the advanced age, and I think that it's nice to implement lessons to learn from in the Fair rather than simply exploring the aesthetics. From what I heard about the previous Fairs, this is what could set us apart from them.


The merch is also really cute, and the idea of selling artifacts from the 1930s and zines made me excited since these are such sentimental pieces that I think the Fairgoers would love and keep for a long time.


Overall, these are what sets apart Ringlorn from the other themes for me.


(Tiny note: I went on a 1930s movie binge after reading the proposal because I wanted to be ready to write it HAHAHA But it's okay; I'll just re-watch Poe's Mystery Dinner Party series on YouTube)
