I think street art is really cool because it *surprises* everyone. one day it can be a blank wall and the next day there's a beautiful artwork. we don't really see this in singapore but whenever i see pictures of street art i'm impressed by the artist's imagination that can convert the plainest of things into a instagram-worthy location.

3. Used to take art classes when I was younger, but forgot most, if not all the techniques :/

4. I really like the traditional costume and jewellery of Indian women. This is because I feel that the design itself is very beautiful, the place where you wear it gives the design a different/ more elegant look , which adds the beauty to both the ornament and the person.

I don't have a particular one-lined- artwork that I like but I do follow a one-lined-artist on instagram whose artworks I like. 3) I am not very artistically inclined, so I never did very well in art. However, I do find art very deep and intriguing.

I find this piece of fan art interesting. The art piece is based on a picture of my favourite boy band, Stray Kids. I really like how the artist tweaked the vibe of the picture. The original photoshoot was meant to have a really dark and ominous vibe. However, the artist managed to change the entire vibe of the picture, giving it a softer touch through the use of softer, pastel colours. However, at the same time, the artist was able to retain the dark vibe of the picture, since Stray Kids generally goes for a dark concept. Thus I can conclude that the artist was able to be original, and did not merely copy off the original picture.

3) I've taken part in art classes before but didn't really like them as I like to have freedom to draw whatever I want. I mostly draw by myself, though most of what I draw is fanart.
4) I am intrigued by animation in general as a storytelling medium as it can offer tricks and modes of presentation that aren't possible in other art forms. It is also a very difficult art form to learn.

3. It involves creativity and I have mostly done activities such as cutting and gluing objects, as well as colouring and shading. I am not very good at expressing myself on a piece of paper but I do appreciate art with meaning behind the picture.
4. Blood splatters on the painting. The painting itself is done with manic strokes of ink and bright colors. The bright colors tie to the theme of inverted and unnatural colors. The manic nature of the painting reveals more about Jungkook’s subconscious. It looks like something done in desperation or frenzy or in a mentally disturbed state. The blood splatters add to the loss the painting will cause. The running colors resemble tears. The gaze is intense.

3. I love colouring and painting even though my art isn't very good as a whole. In my free time, I like drawing small pictures for fun, as they are less complex and are easier for me to draw.
4. Two of my favourite paintings would be the "Birth of Venus" by Sandro Botticelli and the 12 Apostles by Michelangelo. These 2 paintings are very special to me as my family and I had gone on a trip to Italy, to the Uffizi Gallery (where the "Birth of Venus" is found) and the Vatican City (home to the Sistine Chapel's 12 Apostles). The paintings really stood out to my family, and I as they were from the Renaissance period and were known worldwide for their beauty and inner messages. Til this day, we reference these paintings in family inside jokes. This is why these paintings mean so much to me and are very iconic to my family. The "Birth of Venus" is a painting that I had not heard of before, but it captivated me because it conveyed several different movements and characters. It was unique and made use of different colours and shapes to signify an important milestone in time, where the God of Love, Venus was born. It shows how she was brought into existence and how the other Gods received her.
The second painting, the 12 Apostles, was done by a famous artist, Michelangelo and was referenced and seen in the movie, Inferno, that my family really liked watching together. When we went there, we thoroughly enjoyed looking up at the ceiling and seeing the intimate details that were included in the 12 Apostles as each part, each Apostle, had a different story to tell and we felt the emotions and vibrancy of the painting.

3. In the past art classes have always been about technique (e.g. shading, watercolour) rather than making meaning or bringing out a message through the artwork.
4. Artwork that I'm really interested by are Triptychs. I like how each part can be seen on its own, but when it comes together with the other two pieces it connects and forms a bigger picture.
The following painting is one that I did last December. It's really small and it was rather simple to make, but I really enjoyed the process of first connecting the canvases with lines, painting each of them individually and then finally putting them together. (This was copied, not an original piece of artwork)

3. I really enjoyed art. EVen though I am not that talented in drawing and putting my visualisations onto a piece of paper and all, Ms Neo helped me to love art and improve my drawing skills. She tested my imagination and pushed my boundaries. I don't like mixing colours around (colours running onto one another) and I don't usually like very abstract or complicated designs. However, Ms Neo helped me venture out of my comfort design and inspired me in such a way that I joined Fashion Cluster.
4. I chose this picture because I found to be extremely fascinating and insightful and deep. It shows you how there is always a hidden meaning or picture behind something. You just have to look past the obvious. And once you see it, you can't unsee it. You will forever be able to see past the first glance

In addition to this, I also like embroidered art because there are different textures and it's really cool how the drawing is in 2D while the embroidery is in "3D" and the picture below is my favourite piece of embroidered art which comes from the artist, Sheena Lim or @times.new.romance on instagram.

3) i am able to generate abstract ideas but i am not good at drawing
4) the art module last year was slightly mundane as we drew fantasised characters more than we analysed artworks done by renowned artists
I like this piece of art as it makes use of only three colours to come up with an elaborate drawing with a deeper meaning. This work of art reflects that no one has a perfect life. There will always be a point in time when we experience an overwhelming sense of grief and dread, even to the point where we feel helpless, hopeless and we might even find that the meaning to life is lost. Having said that, it is important that we stand strong and undefeated even through the test of time as our failures in life are not there to crush us, but to make us a better person, to lead us towards the path of success.
